Completely random and unrelated comments:

1. Edward Norton is a great interview. His interview with film critic Elvis Mitchell on TCM was excellent.

2. I'm tired of actors who dropped out of school in 10th grade holding themselves out as some type of expert on political policies. We need more actors like Samuel

3. We cannot continue to have two big government parties. One or the other needs to become libertarian influenced.

4. Alexis de DeTocqueville said the downfall of democracy will be when the voters can vote themselves the public funds. We are at that stage now. We should be scared.

I saw Norton's interview on TCM, too - it was good. He's good.

I'm not a huge fan of Samuel L.'s - though he has certainly made a few terrific movies. But, I'm not sure that after living for 30-40 years after dropping out of high school, it's not possible for somebody to have made observances and/or educated themselves enough to have opinions worth listening to.

I believe the hardcore republicans are getting more libertarian influenced. The problem is the GOP will continue to whore itself out to the right wing Christian zealots for votes.

There's no reason to believe that the public couldn't vote money for themselves - they can already vote on the popularity of a minority group and remove their rights.
