I agree - theatre people are the best

Oh hell yeah. my friends and I put up our first commercial production when we were 17-18.

I'm surrounded by artistic types of all shapes and hues here and it's just the easiet bunch to be with. Owing to my unorthodox upbringing i have always been a bit of an anomaly.. but most theater types go through that for one reason or another, so they tend to be more forgiving of people's quirks.

Besides i love being on stage

I do a radio show as well btw. That's fabulous. I get to sit and mouth off for 2 hours 3 days a week. super fun.

Glad to see you hung in there. You give a different prespective to this site that most would not have thought of on thier own.
Congrats on the one year mark.

Hey that's pretty cool. How big is your audience on the radio?

Well i think roughly 8 million people live in the area that i transmit to. the station is in Pakistan's capital Islmabad.

However my channel is almost exclusively english so the listening audience probably only amounts to a few hundred thousand.. maybe MAYBE up to a million. However my show does hit a lot of decision makers.

I'm hopinh to go national during the course of the year. If i do it'll be fantastic. Then i'll hit at least a few million people which will be fabulous.

I actually got offered a job as programming manager on a rival station. Still waiting for their final offer, but i'm not sure if i'll do it. I just started a new job at an advertising firm, and i think it's bad form to skip out after only a few months.

But radio is the best thing i've ever done. I just get to sit around for 2 hours 3 times a week and play the music i like and talk about pretty much anything i want. It's my zen time

everybody here may be able to hear my show if i go national as the national shows are broadcast online also. Hope to get there soon.

What i really wanna do now is try and sing in a band. I've acted and i've presented, now i need to try and sing.

hahahaha.. well not that much.. i can get you the rates if you want.. but i would advise against it until more muslims and non-americans on the site.

It could well turn into a shouting match between jefferson and his ilk versus the same types over here. And i think that would ruin the site.

pakistan is still learning to express opinion free of dogma. In a couple of years i would certainly recommend it. But not yet. Let the locals develop a debating culture indigenously.

I would rather recommend some sort of "exchange" program with other debating sites. Many sites often suffer from uniformity of opinion or at the least uniformity of perspective.. I mean DTT IS a predominantly american site. combining two forums with different general perceptions might be the best way to go.

Thanks for the advice, I'll look into that!

If you can send the quotes via PM anyways..that would be cool. Just so I have them for reference in the future.
