Ever been to a Cheesecake Factory restaurant? We have one in San Diego. Their cheesecake is expensive.

Yes, I have. Many years ago, there was one on the outskirts of Chicago.I don't know if it's still there. My girlfriend at the time- soon to be my first wife- loves cheesecake and wanted to see their restaurant. You're correct in that the prices are steep! I figured since I knew how to make them anyway, why buy?

I' sorry, Dear. We were divorced last year. Unfortunately, it was not a clean divorce. Much of my wealth was (and still is) put into trust years before I met her. She found out that she had no claim to this and didn't like it. She got some (Only what the portion-50%- came from the assets of the marraige.
Well, to put it short, she got stupid. Witholding visitation of my son wasn't the brightest idea she ever had. I filed Contempt of Court charges; and she was ordered to pay a $10,000 fine. Since she now had enough of my money where this would not have been a problem; she then proceeded to laugh about the fine in front of the judge. He promptly tacked on one week in the county jail with the admonition: "Don't think women are exempt from prison young lady. We don't tolerate denial of visitation. If this happens again, You will be sentenced to two years in jail, plus the fine"!
So far, we have not had had any problems since then.

Dang, my bad hon. When I read it, it sounded as if you were getting married soon. Sorry.

Happy to hear though, that the judge took care of the mess with her. I'm one of those who firmly believes in not using children as pawns when the spouses are divorced period. Unfortunately though, as in your case, some people don't feel that way.

Guess it never occured to her that not only was she hurting you, but was hurting ya'lls child more by taking such actions against you. Irregardless of how the parents feel for one another, the child should be allowed to love both parents and not made to feel as if they have to choose between the two. Any parent that does that to their child, in my opinion are abusing that child and that child's relationship with the other parent.

Agreed. Yours would be just as good as theirs. The restaurant is more of a glorified dessert place serving cheesecakes, I must say.

Kind of like the Islands' restaurants, which is a glorified hamburger chain of restaurants in Southern California. All servers dress in Hawaiian shirts.

Don't worry, Dear. That part is hopefully over with. I hope she has learned her lesson about trying to deny a man his child. As I said, we have been getting along lately.

That's good. (((HUGZ))) I'll pray it stays that way too.

Anyways...Loved the desserts John and Yagmi posted. Like you Nutty, I've got many cheesecake recipes myself. And berry cobblers are fantastic!!! Any fruit dessert that begs for icecream on it is a winner in my book.

Tonight, we're having a special dinner that many here will go 'ewwwww' about. But we like it and honestly it tastes like chicken!!!

We're having:

Beer batter dipped frog legs
Brown rice w/stir fry veggies
Lemon sherbet w/berry topping

Hubby and I are cooking the meal together, which we seem to be doing quite a bit lately it seems. ROTFLMAOL!!!

I have tasted frog legs before; and it really is true: they do taste like chicken. Unfortunately, I've never experimented with them enough to create new recipes.
