No, but I've never afforded you the opportunity... I think it's simply human nature... We hurt each other, and we all have our own priorities... It's no big deal to be hurt or let down, but no one has ever let me down more than "god"... Talk about a guy who doesn't deliver...

Expectations, expectations, folks! It's all expectations. No one can let you down if your expectations are realistic. When you feel let down, when you feel hurt, examine and question your expectations....you may find them to have been unrealistic in the first place.

My thought is that one ought to only put expectations on self. And to marry, each one ought to expect oneself to be the darned best mate in the whole wide world. And then do the work, make the sacrifices, and have the fun of not only loving someone, but becoming a better person in the process.

That's good, OD! If only humans weren't human they wouldn't have expectations of others...but, they do. Sometimes even those expectations we have for ourselves, of course, are not realistic, and that will cause severe depression if you let it. Sometimes its easier to forgive others their faults and failings than it is to forgive ourselves for failing at what we expect to do, to have, to achieve, to receive, even to give.
