I am not a stereotypical wife and tyreay isn't a stereotypical husband, and I like the security of that piece of paper. It's a public commitment.

Im not trying to sound bad but why do you need a piece of paper to make a commitment public? Why couldnt you just go about your lives and say that you are married, just not in the eyes of god and government?

Does being married have to have a ceremony? Why must we all conform into one way to do things? Why must we follow one path all the time and not do things differently even though the outcome is all the same?

And i was gonna put in my post "just on in the eyes of god(or whomever you praise) and government; but we all do worship a "god" dont we? So I kinda let it out, which makes you always say, just go with your first answer lol

My entire ceremony cost $50 total. We did it at home. My friends bought a centerpiece and the cake. It was simple.
Now, at tax time, life is good.
