Marriage Sucks!
Don’t get married. Live together. Have kids. Treat each other right. Realize that you being a shithead of a guy or you being a bitch of a woman to each other has serious repercussions. Stop expecting everything and giving nothing. Love each other. Love your kids. Take away the stereotypes of what a wife should do or be like. Stop with the unrealistic expectations that he should read your mind. Treat each other like you would want to be treated yourself…. all the time…. not just when he/she isn’t pissing you off.

I understand that perspective. But then even living together can suck. Though there seems to be a less complicated means to dissolve of the relationship then.

I personally would not ever get legally married again. I don't believe it carries more weight or value by having the government acknowledge whatever love I might give and receive in a relationship.

I do like the idea of ceremony and symbolism though and would no doubt want to do something to mark the coming together with meaning. Like putting down a stake so to speak.

Yup, thats what im doing with my girl right now. We have a family living under the same roof and WE acknowledge our love to be on the same level as a marriage just we dont see why we should have the governtment acknowledge it.
