And that is what our founders were very careful to protect, it made us different then a monarchy, or any other tyrannical form of government. |

Monarchies aren't necessarily tyrannical!
Britain is a monarchy, as are many other European countries.
And the people are free to protest the policies of their government.
So it isn't really that different.

But there certainly have been many tyrannical monarchies in power in the past. And not just monarchies, but dictators as well. | |
