But it is a constitutional republic, which affords individuals with rights. It isn't spitting on our country to protest the policies of the administration. And that is what our founders were very careful to protect, it made us different then a monarchy, or any other tyrannical form of government.

Monarchies aren't necessarily tyrannical!

Britain is a monarchy, as are many other European countries.

And the people are free to protest the policies of their government.

So it isn't really that different.

Britain has had a Constitutional monarchy since the 13th century, beginning with King John signing the Magna Carta in 1215, a document which embodies many legal tenets that even today underpin the legal system of the United States.

Yes, you are right about that. I was mistaken about England. My bad!

But there certainly have been many tyrannical monarchies in power in the past. And not just monarchies, but dictators as well.
