I think we can agree that no girl is worth that.

But I think the price tag here may be more a function of how much the buyer has available to spend, rather than a function of actual value. In other words, she was "worth" whatever she could get someone to pay.

I don't believe anyone should be forcibly removed from their job/office solely on the grounds of spousal infidelity, but I do believe that when you position yourself as Mr. Law and Order, and then pull a stunt like this, you owe it to the people who believed in you to voluntarily step down.

And Gary, I never said that a woman was a victim in the case of Spitzer, but his wife might. And I think that prostitution should be legal, and then it is even less about women as victims. Right now, some prostitutes are victims of men, and that cannot be disputed, unless you are unable to think logically or rationally.

It is a shame that these guys can't police themselves. This is fodder for tabloids and TV shows like Law & Order.

I have to disagree with your "Men are never to blame" argument here; Gary. But Spitzer was a victim. A victim of his own inflated ego. And he will pay the ultimate price. That 4,000.00 dollars will be nothing compared to the loss of credibility in your career, and loss of the trust of your wife and children.
Now, I'm in no position to judge what marital problems the Spitzers may have been having. But before he went to this step and put so much on the line; he should have either filed for a divorce or a legal seperation. I think that if this had been the case; he wouldn't have everybody playing the "moral authority".

Oh yeah, they're victims, Gary. Victims of their own inability to have their needs met by their partners, or to get enough ego strokes from people, or to break up with those who aren't making them happy, or just plain and simply their genetic material and their sexual organs. The vagina is a big, scary monster, I know, but it isn't victimising men, men are trying to get back into one, pretty much as soon as the day they came out of one.
