Then again when you're a pro-choice, pro-universal health care populist running against a candidate who hardly even tried at all to earn the Senate seat, having an R next to your name means relatively little in the grander scheme of things I suppose. | I don't know a whole lot about Senator Brown but I do recall he ran against the universal healthcare idea. He could have been totally full of shit I suppose but that's the platform he ran on.

| That's exactly right. That's why Scott Brown himself will have no affect on Obama. Personally, I think the voters in Massachusetts were offended by Coakley's attitude that she should have just been awarded the seat by default without even telling the people why she should have the position. Brown actually wants to create his own brand; and is distancing himself from the Tea Party people; and the Repubs as much as he can. |

But he still isnt a Kerry brand of Democrat.
There is some strategy to distancing himself from the tea party. Brown stands a unique chance of actually helping to bring the two parties together to actually make some meaningful cost reducing reform without the socialism. I'm not going to hold my breath but if someone were to try to do that it would be a good idea to distance himself from the tea party. |

| I don't favor socialism, but I do favor that Big Interest Health Insurance Companies return their "Big Bonuses" to those
that paid for it! |

Well since no one is even going anywhere near a socialist approach to fixing the system, once again, you're safe from the boogeyman under your bed.
