I don't know a whole lot about Senator Brown but I do recall he ran against the universal healthcare idea. He could have been totally full of shit I suppose but that's the platform he ran on.

Sen. Brown voted for Romney's UHC plan, he certainly isn't 100% averse to the idea.

That's exactly right. That's why Scott Brown himself will have no affect on Obama. Personally, I think the voters in Massachusetts were offended by Coakley's attitude that she should have just been awarded the seat by default without even telling the people why she should have the position. Brown actually wants to create his own brand; and is distancing himself from the Tea Party people; and the Repubs as much as he can.

Yeah he is, that punkass going on TV and trying to get his daughter another spot on American Idol was just sad.

Oh ok so for all we know he found out the hard way how bad of a mistake it is. But I do recall he campaigned against UHC when running for US Senate.

No one's debating the moderate position Brown is in. But he still isnt a Kerry brand of Democrat.

There is some strategy to distancing himself from the tea party. Brown stands a unique chance of actually helping to bring the two parties together to actually make some meaningful cost reducing reform without the socialism. I'm not going to hold my breath but if someone were to try to do that it would be a good idea to distance himself from the tea party.

Ricardo will become famous soon enough
I don't favor socialism, but I do favor that Big Interest Health Insurance Companies return their "Big Bonuses" to those
that paid for it!

they were contractually obligated to pay those bonuses. none of us like it but they are legally obligated. Our government knew this when they handed over the bailout. It's their fault for not doing something about it then.

There are Democrats that are more conservative than this guy, in the south he'd be considered pretty liberal for a Republican.

Well since no one is even going anywhere near a socialist approach to fixing the system, once again, you're safe from the boogeyman under your bed.

The Tea Party should distance itself from the Republican Party, lest it be absorbed and get itself lost in the fog.
