I'm surprised you didn't personally. Especially in light of how many times you and I have discussed the bible with one another in the past. Not to mention, the number of times 'you know who' has protested 'the bible doesn't say that' any time we've discussed the bible? ROTFLMAOL!!!

I picked the most atrocious answers and the stuff I knew. All in all I got 80%.

Waste of time. Each of the question and answers were taken out of context.

100%. Reading the Bible a few times growing up "for fun" seems to have stuck with me.

I do still keep a very good study Bible, but these days I consider it a reference book. It's on a shelf right next to my dictionary and thesaurus.

True, but the entire Bible, by virtue of being rewritten and translated multiple times, has been taken out of context.

That would be because it was multiple choice rather than essay.
Right now America spends $700 billion every year on foreign oil. That's our money going overseas when it could be staying here. We have to stop this.

I have several translations of the Bible. I like to be able to get ahold of the Martin Luther version.

Right now, I am reading a book titled "The Vatican's Exorcists", which talks about driving out the bad guy in this century. It is authored by journalist Tracy Wilkinson.

BTW, I posted a greeting card for Ali earlier. Hope you get to see it.

Completely false. Over 3000 copies of the scrolls used to fact check the Bible from Alexandria texts show no change in text.

Pretty easy quiz, there, tad.

Just pick the worst possible answers.

Nice website, very unbiased. [sarcasm off]

That may be true, but that does not affect the truth of my statement.

I'm not saying the Bible is wrong. I'm saying it is not the same book it was when it was written.

Translating ANYTHING takes it out of context, because language itself is not a precise concept. It is not perfectly transliteral. The text changed when the language changed.

Also, words in a language change meanings over time. To truly understand what the authors meant, one would also have to know what the words they chose meant at the time they were written.

As proof, I offer all the various versions of the Bible that exist just in English.
These differ a bit from each other in their word choices.
