YTMND - Come on Islam

It doesn't make me angry, as I am not of the Islamic faith, but as I stated recently on another thread, there are stll those who link Islam and terrorism together inexorably. It actually makes me sad,for along with this misconception comes the further difficulty in true peace being achieved between peoples of the world.
I understand that there are radical extremists out there who commit acts of terrorism supposedly in the name of their faith. I also understand that this is the exception rather than the rule. That doesn't make it any better, but we must not attach this label to everyone of the Islamic faith unfairly and without justification.

The Muslims who will get offended by that will insist their religion is one of peace. Then they will retaliate by bombing the shit out of something.

All Muslims are not terrorists and suicide bombers as clip sich as this would have one to believe. I agree with a portion of your statement, PN. The Islamic faith is one of peace. I agree also that this will get some noses out of joint. But I think that there are two groups of Muslims that we are are talking about here. How about the Muslims that will just be offended? Heck, I'm offended by it; and I'm not Muslim! It is things like these little clips that color our thinking. What do any of us really know of the Muslim faith,? Does our limited knowledge come from things like this? How many of us even know a Muslim personally and up close? You all can say what you want, but actually this clip is the thing that wars are made of; as man has been fighting over religion for all of recorded time. Okay, I'm done ranting now, it's time for everbody else to have their say.
