Here, this link explains in-depth my stance on the whole thing: `Abdu'l-Bahá on Science and Religion

A quote from said link:

"A small child cannot comprehend the laws that govern nature, but this is on account of the immature intellect of that child; when he is grown older and has been educated he too will understand the everlasting truths. A child does not grasp the fact that the earth revolves round the sun, but, when his intelligence is awakened, the fact is clear and plain to him.
It is impossible for religion to be contrary to science, even though some intellects are too weak or too immature to understand truth.
God made religion and science to be the measure, as it were, of our understanding. Take heed that you neglect not such a wonderful power. Weigh all things in this balance.
To him who has the power of comprehension religion is like an open book, but how can it be possible for a man devoid of reason and intellectuality to understand the Divine Realities of God?
Put all your beliefs into harmony with science; there can be no opposition, for truth is one. When religion, shorn of its superstitions, traditions, and unintelligent dogmas, shows its conformity with science, then will there be a great unifying, cleansing force in the world which will sweep before it all wars, disagreements, discords and struggles - and then will mankind be united in the power of the Love of God.7"

This assertion is incorrect because the entire thought process is flawed. The child cannot chomprehend that the sun revolves around the earth because the child has no frame of refrence to compaire with! For years the most intellegent men were convinced that the earth was the center of the universe, only to be proven wrong because they were wrong. This is to say that clear teaching from scripture is not true and only applies to the blind and simple. Paul wrights " oh foolish Galations, when did you trade the truth of God for a lie?" I ask you the same question.

I would agree with this point. Good science points toward God. The question remains, who is God? Is He the God that He says that He is, or the god Abdu'l-BahAi says he is?

Here then we find the cop-out. "I cannot understand the divine realities of God, so make sure that I can hide behind science that has changed with every age. And lets make sure that we remove anything that does not agree with science and this will make the world happy and wonderful. After all, it was science that gave us puppies and rainbows!" pft.

How do you know what God "says."

Yes.. "good" science points toward God. It wasn't any preacher or Bible passage that made me a true believer. It was my biology classes.

But, is having to accept, literally, that some dude got swallowed by a fish and regurgetated.. and that's somehow God proving He's God..... is THAT good science? Or reason? Or intelligence?

That's not what's being said. And if you're going to try to ridicule my religion, or otherwise cross theological swords with me, then I think it's only fair to warn you I was Christian for very many years. And it appears that you know next to nothing about the Baha'i Faith.
