Still, you and I can both believe that there are a fair share of Christians who are quite taken back, hurt and disillusioned by the Richard Roberts scandal. And just as many non-Christians who are gloating. Neither reaction wears with the sweet comfort you share of God being in control.

And we do, by faith, believe He is.

OD, regardless. These are just people. None perfect. Besides they should not be putting their faith in men. That is why they are disillusioned.

Disillusioned people need to examine themselves prior to examining others. Let the law and the system they have there in place take control of the matters with the Roberts if they have done what they are being accused of. That is why we pay those big bucks in taxes.

Many gloated over the Masters death too.

As I said previously in this thread, this situation is typical of humans. It's simply a case of an executive spending money that isn't his. The "business" in question just happens to be a church.

The sad part is that he shows how deluded/irrational/crazy he is with all this "God told me" crap even in the midst of getting ready to go to jail. I think a person able to lead a following that amasses wealth like these churches do is a rare ability. You don't just "choose" to do it. It IS a "calling" so to speak. Most "evangelicals" are just scam artists IMHO.

I presume that is why they are exposed when they dip into the congregational kitty.

With a name like "Oral"... wouldn't it have logically followed to have named his son "Anal"?

Very good - how long did it take to come up with that??

BTW what do you think about Robert's wife carrying on with young men and boys?

"The more detailed account alleges Richard Roberts' wife, Lindsay, spent the night in the ORU guest house with an underage male "on nine separate occasions," and was photographed 29 times with an underage male in her sports car, among other allegations.

In a statement issued Saturday, Lindsay Roberts said, "I live my life in a morally upright manner and throughout my marriage have never, ever engaged in any sexual behavior with any man outside of my marriage as the accusations imply."

Shades of Bill Clinton.

What is it about people from Oklahoma and Arkansas??

Geesh! I don't know Mytie. Maybe with a name like "Oral"...his son's name could have been "fixation" ...

That is nearly too close for comfort with our own resident Fxashun here, wouldn't ya say?

So Fx, is your last name Roberts by any chance at all ?

Yes, like the Hunt family. Had a son named Yuric.
