Here is something I saw at another forum I visit. I just thought it might make for some conversation here at the religious forum.

And yeah, personally, I find it atrocious!!!

I think I know which forum you are talking about, OhDear. It pains me as to why people would get in another's head about that. I got pretty tired of that thread.

“Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's.”
Matthew 22:21 (King James Version)

Also repeated at Mark 12:17 and Luke 20:25
Right now America spends $700 billion every year on foreign oil. That's our money going overseas when it could be staying here. We have to stop this.

I do not like the billboard because it is not giving enough choices...and it is condemning people who do not believe that he is the Lord.

I do believe He is and He is mine. But I also believe the love of God does not condemn any.

It does however demonstrate the exclusive and judgmental tactics of fundamentalists.

Amen to that, OhDear.

In our lives, haven't we all come across street preachers who would preach the same message that we are all doomed if we don't follow Jesus?

I remember the scare tactics taken by the Baptist preachers when I went to the Baptist school. It was all hellfire and damnation, nothing positive was ever preached, just how bad things would be for you if you weren't 'saved'.

Somehow, I don't think that's what Jesus had in mind....

It's called the logical fallacy of the false delimma.

In other words, posisting that there are only two (or in this case, three) choices, when, in fact, there are others.
If at first you don’t succeed – try, try again and then quit. There’s no sense in making a damned fool of yourself. – W.C. Fields
