Based on what I have seen of your attitudes on this board, I really don't want to know you.
All of us have members of this site that we feel that way about though. But if we were to all meet one day, I wouldn't let any negative feelings I have here keep me from giving the "real" person the benefit of the doubt. Hell, I think if we were to all meet up somewhere, it would be a hoot. As long as we don't discuss the things that we discuss here.

I'd love to meet Tris and discuss hair care products, BUT I would never discuss "gay marriage" with him. I wouldn't discuss abortion with Catus or Knot. And I wouldn't discuss religion with Grace. But I would hope we would all be intelligent enough to get along with each other like adults.

But the IMPORTANT part is that it should not have lasting physical effects and it should not have the purpose of causing pain.

I think you are right about this. It would seem that the use of the word, discipline, is a sticking point for Westerners trying to understand the point this guy is making. I would say that hitting one's wife with a toothpick is a definite step in the right direction away from corporal punishment.

In the western world, we like to think of ourselves as "negotiating" on any points where we do not agree with our spouses. The inclusion of breaking things, screaming, silent treatment, etc. doesn't make it discipline. That just makes it INTENSE negotiating.
Right now America spends $700 billion every year on foreign oil. That's our money going overseas when it could be staying here. We have to stop this.

LOL, wiki hu? Come on now. You really must be a christian, I can litteraly feel the Love of Christ shine from you right through my computer screen

And BTW, your source didnt say one way or the other wether she was a prostitute or not. No one knows what she was, or who she was before meeting Christ. So my point still stands, maybe she was, maybe she wasnt. No one knows.

And another thing, when did I claim to you love for anything?

If you and I ever meet face to face, we could discuss any damn thing you want.

Knot Lady-

"Like it or not, if a woman doesn't want to be pregnant, in the first tri-mester it is just a 'condition' to be taken care of like a cyst. Can any of you men think of the thoughts running through a young, unmarried woman's mind, knowing she's pregnant, thinking of the long term consequences, then realizing that she can go to a clinic and make everything go away?

I know. I've been there. I found out I was pregnant at 40. I thought long and hard on whether to keep him or not. When I was pregnant with my 3rd boy, I was in the middle of a bad marriage on the way to a divorce, was unemployed, and already had a 3 year old and a 2 year old. He was that close to not being here.

You can't possibly know how hard that kind of decision is. And how it will impact you for the rest of your life."

You considered having one yourself. It certainly doesnt seem like your against it.

That's not always the case. You need to be slapped around a bit to teach you some manners and not to post negatively toward the men on this board.
