#1 obvioulsy not. However if either is trully divine, then I gotta imagine there of equal importance.

#2 No. God also revels himself through nature, according to the bible.

#3 No. blasphamy of the holy spirit is a unforgivable sin, that wont be forgiven in this life or the next.

No problem.

Okay, I think we have some ground to work with...

I classify myself as Quaker so there are times that I end up having a bitter battle with fundamentalists.

On the first... I think that divine inspiration is all well and good, but humans are flawed creatures and thus have the ability to incorrectly transmit divine inspiration. I'm not claiming malicious intent, merely personal understanding of an entity that is far beyond our feeble comprehension. Divine execution on the other hand is infallible.

On the second. I agree that God reveals himself through nature, and I believe that humans of course are part of nature. I believe that God has a continuing revelation that he provides to his followers as it is the direct communication with God (prayer/meditation/reflection) that let's us feeble creatures see the face of God.

On the third. I think we would have to put a finer point on the term 'blasphemy of the holy spirit' before I concede to it.

Thanks.

I dont know to much about the Quaker religion. The only observation I have is that you seem to be a very peacefull people. Though I dont know much about what you consider to be true doctrine.

Its true that humans are obviously flawed, on that we agree. However, I believe that if God wanted to send a message to man, through man, he wouldnt fail, his strength is perfect in our weakness. On the other hand, your right though. The scriptures tell us in this life we see things through dirty glass. But I believe the bible is the inspired word of God, and that he hasnt failed in bring us his truth, through the bible.

We are on the same page there.

The way I understand it, blasphamy of the holy spirit, is the total rejection of the truth that Jesus Christ died and rose on the third day, to redeem us of our sins.

The three days before Christmas, December 22, 23, and 24, the sun appears to be on the same inclination on the horizon for those 3 days. The longer days then begin as the renewal of Spring is finally approaching. Any coincidence that Jesus was resurrected after 3 days and we celebrate his birth on December 25?
