The list goes on and on and on, all of the above were ressurected in order to bring some previously unknown truth to humanity. Many where thought of as a 'messiah' (to use the Jewish word) within their culture. Somof the ressurection are symbollic in nature but most aren't. Many were said to be predestined to rise again to fulfil a prophesy. Many fo them didn't actually exist or we have no more evidence they existed then we do Jesus actually existed. Many were also the product of a virgin birth. They come from all different cultures from Indigenous Australian to Native American and of course the classic Nordic, Roman, Egyptian and Greek cultures. Many pre-date the time of Moses by 2000 years at least (in the case of indigenous Australians by about 50,000 years). The story of Jesus is not un-common.

Its sort of handy that the book which we can't prove is talking about a real person is said to fullfil some ancient prophesy. But many of the above also fullfil n ancient prophesy about a God coming back under a certain set of circumstances to bring something or give something to humanity.

You see Jesus was not and is not alone in being said to fullfil ancient prophesy but like many of the above the only evidence we have that these poeple (Gods) ever existed is a self referential book of dubious and unknown origins which is circular evidence and thus not worth all that much.

Some of the above are women which of course would never occur in the patriarchial Jedeo-Christian tradition because we are taught to fear women, they are temptresses, set to undermine man with the power of their sexuality.
And yet for the believer in Christ, believing He even now fills our hearts, His life is transforming our own. And his name is proclaimed throughout the whole world.

Where are all those gods, Gadget? Where are the god-men and what can one find in their graves?

You can find them in any library or any art work from the areas of the culture that they influenced. Why are there so many American Buddhists if Jesus's story was the only one going worldwide? You choose to believe in that one, that doesn't make it the only real way. It is a valuable system to work with for inner growth and transformation, but it certainly isn't the only one that is. And in actuality, those who are following exoteric Christianity are not usually working the inner tradition that Jesus entrusted to only a chosen few. They are following the dogma and doctrine of a corrupt power system.

Actually, the Buddist's philiosophy has a lot of merit. The chanting part seems kind of silly though. Oh, let's not forget, praying to a pot-bellied idol isn't skyling either.

OhDear
It matters not. If you are to believe the ressurection of Christ, how can you discount the teaching of the Good reverend Fred Phelps?

Of course there was: How in the bloody hell could have Jesus fed 50,000 people with 2 fish and 5 loaves of bread? Bloody people, they always demand a means to eat.

There actually was some form of hallucinogen in the time of Jesus, and prior to it. All of those ancient cultures had some form of ritual that used a mind altering substance.

Certainly there were no pills, though. Everything that was used in Jesus's days surely came from plants.

It's very nice you have it all figured out. Perhaps we should look to the likes of Timothy Leary for our divine guidance.
