| Religion What is your take on religion? Do you base your thoughts in life according to your religion? Do you feel that religion should be kept out of Government and Politics? |

Wouldn't that be the right word to describe men who simulate sex by inserting their penises into other men's bums? Or as the Bible describes them 'a man who lieth with mankind as he lieth with a woman'. I thought you were proud to be called a homosexual - why so coy all of a sudden ??!?

Nope. I asked you how you managed to twist 'subjection' into 'hatred'. Apparently you can twist almost any word into hatred.

I just said that the word did not exist and does not exist in The Bible.....and yet you seem so sure that God condemns this. The inequality of women is far more blatant, and yet you refuse to even acknowledge it. This is what is called HYPOCRISY gary, where you pick and choose the bullshit out of The Bible that suits your hateful agenda. Don't feel bad, all false prophets do the same thing.

So you've now retracted your ludicrous charge of 'hatred' and substituted 'inequality' Well now we're making some progress. Were you lying before or just mistaken?

| Where do I object to the word homosexual? I just said that the word did not exist and does not exist in The Bible.....and yet you seem so sure that God condemns this. What part of 'a man who lieth with mankind as he lieth with a woman' is inconsistent with the word homosexual?? Where does it say this in The Bible Gary? Are you this desperate? The inequality of women is far more blatant, and yet you refuse to even acknowledge it. So you've now retracted your ludicrous charge of 'hatred' and substituted 'inequality' If you command women to be subservient and unequal to men, then you clearly do not think too highly of women. Misogyny does not just imply hatred, it implies discrimination. It is indeed the hatred of women that drove bigoted men (much like yourself) to edit and revise The Bible into the male dominated piece of trash it is today. They did this for political reasons, to keep women down....and it has worked....and you defend it. Pity. Well now we're making some progress. Were you lying before or just mistaken? | |||||||||||||||||||||

| I'm looking for the "hatred" for women though. Something like "you can kill your woman if she forgets the gravy on your roast beef". If you look at the Bible as a guide, just as in most companies, there is a hierarchy. Someone has to be "in charge". And in Biblical times, as with now, more often than not it was the man. The Bible didn't teach hatred for women IMHO, but as with anything, individuals do have the capacity to be hateful. Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense. Buddha | |||||||||||||||||||||

| The teachings of Jesus and his followers were perceived by the Romans and the Hebrews as a growing threat to their authority. One of the reasons for this was due to the perception that the teachings were dangerously radical because they called into question existing family traditions. They considered women persons in their own right, and disrespected the Roman and Jewish family structures of the day, both of which subordinated women. There were fundamental differences between the early Christian communities and the increasingly hierarchic church headed by Peter. Which is why you find that these early sects were labeled as heretics and their doctrines were suppressed or destroyed by the dominant sect headed by the church. Those early sects did not rank their members hierarchically, but followed the principle of equality. All initiates, participated equally and chose their priests, bishops or prophet, through the casting of lots. And they ensured through doing that, that those distinctions established by lot would never become permanent "ranks". And so by 200C.E., Christianity was becoming exactly the kind of hierarchical and violence based system that Jesus had rebelled against. And after Constantine's conversion, it became an official arm of the state. And the common thread running through every sect that was persecuted so cruelly by the church was their identification with so called feminie values. Because of my interst in this subject, and after years of research, I find that it isn't necesary to reject religion based on it's shortcomings, but to reject the static and hierarchic social order enforced by it's authority, as the will of God. There is too much evidence that the early church ignored or destroyed much of what it didn't agree with, regardless of whether or not they were in agreement with the teachings of Jesus. | |||||||||||||||||||||
