Yup. And it is very likely that the Israelites borrowed heavily from the Egyptian king making rights when establishing their new religion, Judaism. The term Son of Man or Son of God was always used when referencing to line of kings. The Pharoah was the Son of God, as was King David and any other rightful person in line with kingship.

No doubt. Considering that Judaism was originally a polythestic remenant of Mesopotamian culture that evolved into a monothestic practice, it's no surprise at all that they'd have incorporated the older stories into the new monothestic fabric.

Another man-God was Krishna, from the Hindu Trinity around 3200 BC.

Other god-Men are Buddha (Asian/India), Gilgamesh (Mesopotamia), Heracles, Aeneas, Perseus, and Romulus.

Oh, and I almost forgot...Alexander the Great was also thought to have been a man-God.

You also forgot all the people in the 1960's who said Clapton Is God.

How come all of those names have disappeared into the sands of time yet the Christian Church is larger today then its ever been?

Krishna's and Buddha's names are dead?

I'll bet the millions of Hindis and Buddhists would find that news.

Buddhists don't claim Buddha is a God, just a guy with some nice ideas.

I was referring to all the Christ-lookalikes described by Ali and tables, as though being Christ-like was not a novelty.

Most of these figures were prior to the birth of Jesus. So they aren't the look alikes. And the early Jerusalem church did not believe in divinity of Jesus. And they also believed in the living resurrection, achieved while one is alive. The Gnostic sect claimed that a literal view of the resurrection, the faith of fools, and said that those who believed their dead master had come physically back to life, were confusing a spiritual truth with an actual event.

Do you think God may be directing and safeguarding the mission and the destiny of His church?

No, I think that the were destroyed during the Jewish rebellion against the Roman oppressors, at the time of the destuction of the Temple, around 70 AD. And that we didn't hear of their doctrines because the Roman Church was very successful in suppressing and eradicating all traces of them, until the scrolls were found in 1947. And they still attempted to control who saw them and who translated them.
You can keep that circular reasoning, I don't buy that.

Ah, are you able to provide any reliable links or evidence to support any of this? I don't see any of that even alluded to in descriptions of the Mithraic religion:

Mithraic Mysteries - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
EAWC Essay: Mithraism
MITHRAS

From what I've heard, there is a LOT of misinformation circulating about what Mithraism really was about, in an attempt to create a parallel between the religion and Biblical Christianity.
