I find it simply amazing that people try to "discredit" what they 'obviously' have never taken the time to comprehend...as demonstrated. The ancient Laws of the Old Testament were "exclusive" to only those of the nation of Israel....NO gentile was bound by these Laws.....yesterday, today, nor tomorrow as the Christ fulfilled all the requirements of the "Covenant" presented to Moses on Mt. Sinai and nailed it to the cross for the express purpose of allowing all nations to become part of the New Covenant between man and God....The New Testament Covenant of Christ Jesus who's laws are written on the hearts (instead of Stone) of those citizens that reside in the Kingdom of God here on earth...aka the "Church" that Christ purchased with his blood.

It would be very advisable to READ the entirety of something before one condemns the content thereof.....and its very obvious that the producer of such a film.....HAS NOT, thus they make claims that are untrue, and many are so gullible as to actually believe such nonsense as presented from nothing but a pure "preconceived" position of blatant BIGOTRY....very enlightening for those that profess to be LIBERAL THINKERS....when in reality they only THINK they know everything...just as we have witnessed. The ten commandments were written towards the Jews only. They were required to follow the Law, as an example to the nations. Otherwise God would have given the Law to all the nations.

We have been freed of the Law, through the sacrificial death of Christ. We are no longer required to follow the Law. " For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under the law." Rom 6:14 Believers are the temples of God, not the building. We do not have to follow the law, because we have been saved by grace through faith in Christ.

Where is the command to oppress women? This wasn't even discussed. Or to kill alcoholic teenagers? Israel was to be an example to the other nations.

Jesus often spoke in metaphor. He meant that it is better to not sin and be wounded than sin and be perfectly. We forget that the world was once one that didn't take care of sick and retarded people. Jesus meant that we should strive to please Him with our hearts, rather than an outward showiness.

Slavery. This is an interesting topic. We also forget that, thousands of years ago, there was no welfare state or unemployment. People willfully went into bondage to wealthy people in order to survive. It is not the roots documentary that you think of in todays age. If a slave was wounded, then how could he or she profit you?

Here is an analogy reversing the arguement.

Atheism is repulsive. There have been many leaders in the last century, who confessed atheism, that murdered millions of people.

Atheists kill babies. Atheists believe in a woman's right to choose, which is life or death, so atheism supports killing babies.

Atheists support murdering their own country men. Russia killed millions of people who disagreed with their political, social, and economical ways. Communism leads to Atheism, and Russia was Communist, so Atheism supports killing your neighbor.

Atheism supports inhuman treatment of elderly, sick, and handicapped. Nazi Germany abused, tortured, tormented millions of people. Since evolution is the dogma of Atheists, and Nazis used evolution as an excuse to do these things, Atheism is repulsive.

See how easy this was; to manipulate words in order to make your opinion look rational.

rubbish like this whether in relation to atheism, race, sexuality or religion is no more than fear mongering and abuse. presumably this was your point, although your point was not very clear.

this i suspect was smoke to cover the rest of the reply. how to you handle situations where the bible gives instructions that are unethical, contradictory or seem immoral to you ? how do you rationalise that Jesus never condemned slavery, or that he became angry at times, while saying anger is a sin ?
