I have only this to say with my recommendation that you think very hard on this first portion of the Rede, that as an HP you are oath bound to follow and inspire in others...

You gave your oath, at the time you received services, that you'd pay what wasn't covered by insurance in a fair and timely manner...You fairly took...And as such, you should fairly give and honor that oath you made to those who gave you service, as well as the oath you gave to the Divine when you were raised to be the Divine's earthly represenative.

How many times does something have to be explained to you for you finally to grasp the fact that those within the pagan paths are not all witches or practice witchcraft? Just as not all witches are pagan (or wiccan)...

What a shame. TW had a great idea opening this thread to talk about religious diversity, and it quickly became "bash the weirdo."

I find it incredibly hypocritical when Christians openly bash and mock other faiths, but then are the first and loudest to cry persecution at any (real or perceived) slight to their faith.

The joke isn't a good one, when it's completely off base in regards to who you're callling a witch Grace...

I can say with not a shadow of a doubt, I'm not a witch...And even though TW is Wiccan, in the years we've known him I've not heard him to claim to be one either...

It would be like making a joke about your beliefs of being Christian, but the joke is calling you Amish or Muslim...Just because your beliefs are similar, by worshiping the same aspect of the Divine, it doesn't mean your beliefs are interchangeable with other beliefs. So making a joke in that regard, would be off base by miles and not funny a tiny bit.

Same here Grace...My beliefs as well as TW's, are not interchangable with other beliefs that may/may not be similar to the actual paths we are on.

And you've been playing that 'joke' for years, in regards to our paths...Seem you'd finally get it that your joke is off mark and wasted typing space.

I did not know that the label WITCH even carried a negative connotation nowadays. I mean, unless you do not ascribe to the beliefs of one, but then those who do not ascribe to the beliefs of Christian say the word "fundy" alot and though many Christians wear that label cheerfully, I guess it is not said in good cheer.

But here is a link to a truly acclaimed witch. And she has a lovely voice, and is for religious freedom and tolerance, and is pagan.

Ali, do you remember telling me that you were in a coven and then you changed to another one? Are coven members not witches?

I think if I was a witch, I would just wear the label proudly and let others either like it or lump it. The way I wear fundy or Christian, I don't care what others think about it.
