I was speaking of course of his using the Lords name in vain, such as, in GD America....and both appear to be using Black Liberation Theology, instead of Christian doctrine as per instructions of the scriptures, "All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for DOCTRINE, for REPROOF, for CORRECTION, for INSTRUCTION in RIGHTEOUSNESS: That the man of God may be PERFECT, THOROUGHLY FURNISHED unto ALL good works." -- ll Tim 3:16-17. Both appear to be HEAVY into Black Theology and SHORT on scriptural TRUTH. If I wanted opinion instead of truth....I would just go to an inner net web site.....such as this.

And it appears that neither have ventured as far as to read the truth about there being any need whatsoever for any one particular race of people to have their own conception of Christianity, regardless of their "personal struggles", "There is neither Jew nor Greek(Gentile), there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise." -- Gal. 3:28-29. And of course they completely ignore the teachings of God concerning the fact that All races were conceived from one source and one blood, "And (God) hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth...." Acts 17:26. Therefore, in reality there is only one race of peoples....THE HUMAN RACE. In all probability, Christ Jesus himself was more black than white, considering the region form where he was conceived. But, it should not and does not matter, as per the truth being presented.

Is your hair straight enough now? Or does it need more teasing? He said, with a smile. (R)

Thank you for explaining further. I do not think the youtube was of a real preacher at all. I do not think he was preaching anything about Black Liberation Theology. And his vulgar and profane words were used as a mockery of what Paul said about being all things to all people...

Indeed, but granted these premises it is also necessarily true that the opposite end of the spectrum (i.e. "God bless America"/"America is a Christian nation") is also using the lord's name in vain. Using the scriptures, that you are alleging are for spiritual purposes only, for political means either way is equally blasphemous.

I actually feel that is more appropriate the use the story and lessons of Jesus to condemn the evils of a system in a prophetic voice of moral indignation as opposed to support a political entity. Liberation theology rises out of the oppression of African-Americans in a racist country. The condemnation of racism and it's institutionalized effects into today's society seems to be the point of liberation theology, not to criticize a nation gratuitously; which you seem to get by superficially analyzing liberation theology.

Curious, I thought we were talking about liberation theology in the United States.

Why, because they're concerned about the evils of poverty and attempting to find ways to end it?? Then arguably Jesus was Marxist in scope too.

Maybe you couldn't hear a difference because your ears are closed with your mouth open.

The real difference is that Rev. Wright is a sane man and the person in the youtube video exhibits some of the signs of schizophrenia.
