You can't make arguments to prove the case for the bible by quoting the bible...

Oh yeah, and Gary and Ralphs posts are bunk. Especially gary's. Reality does not require imagination... Only religion does.

Christ was either three things: a liar, a lunatic, or LORD.
Liar-He claimed He was, is, and will be God forever. He claimed that, "before Abraham was, I AM," claiming His divinity. He just fooled others, but He knew He was not God.
Lunatic-He believed He is God, but was mentally ill and really wasn't.
LORD-His claims were and are true.
People must first address this issue before any other "contradiction" or topic concerning. After all, Jesus is the One who nonbelievers hate. His way makes you feel uncomfortable. You all don't like feeling guilty about cheating your taxes or checking out that hot, young receptionist. He is the stumbling block in your life-not Christians, the church, or the bible.
There is a fourth option that Christians never admit to, and that is that he was a great man with awesome ideas and alot of spiritual power, but still NOT the son of God, since God is an invention of man.

Thus again...the secularists PROCLAIM that which is ACCUSED has no inherent right to defend itself from the very charges brought against it. They may call it (The Holy Bible), a rag presented in nothing but lies....but under no circumstances are these same words that are accused of being lies in totality to be used as PROOF...by validating them in both science and history actual...and used in the self defense thereof. This indeed seems to be a strange ideology of LIBERTY, JUSTICE, and fairness presented to ALL....expect to that which cannot be proven to be the liar that it is represented as being.....Go figure, I sure hope than none of these idiots are allowed to sit on any jury...in which I might be personally charged with ANYTHING of any measure...for indeed some judge by preconceived ideas gestated by opinion only, while dismissing evidence that is not allowed by self proclamation. I'm not sure if you actually read my post or thought about it, but here are a couple of the most salient points:

4 .Just because we don't understand how God works doesn't mean he doesn't exist! It just means we aren't as smart as we think

5. The existence of God can never be proven, nor disproven, using logic. That's why it requires the courage to take a step of faith, despite all the unanswered questions.

As for reality requiring imagination, there are endless examples of how that is true, just pick any abstract subject.

For example, democracy is an abstract concept which becomes a reality because of imagination.

Clearly the guy who made that PowerPoint lacks the courage to imagine beyond his own puny 'college educated' little world!

I'm not sure that I agree that God is an invention of man. I don't know what God is, but I think that it is in our make up, that we acknowledge that there is something beyond our mundane experiences or our limited ability to know everything. So in a way, man invented God, in man's image, but man may be way off as to what is really the truth. I think we have a higher consciousness that can be expanded to uncharted levels, and who knows what we might find there.

And Ralph, you might try speaking in a manner that other people could relate to. Reading your posts is like deciphering hieroglyphics.

It could be that what he claimed to be, was something that we all are, but must uncover through spiritual exercise and right living.
Please define right living and spiritual exercise. The Bible teaches us to love God with all our mind, soul, and strength and to love our neighbors as ourself. It also states that, in order to obtain salvation, we must accept Christ as Savior.

People, in our finite minds, are unable to fathom the depth of God. We believe what we can see. It is dangerous to think that we can somehow achieve the same level of God, or become like Him. After all, He is the King of the universe. He spoke everything into existence.

No, God is not an invention of man. He is the all powerful King of the universe. Your problem is that you want to be God, but you can't. This worries you day and night, so you turn to cynicism and harsh attacks.

If you want to debate, then bring something worth reading. Don't waste my time.

How has wiccan improved your life? Does it comfort you? Does it give you purpose? You create your own gods so you can manipulate them how you want.

The God of the Bible IS an invention, IMO. Just look at all the stuff "he" did in the stories of the Bible. He was a pretty active guy. Now why is he so passive now? Why has he not shown "himself" even a little to prove that he is out there?

But I agree that we just don't know most of what is "out there". It's the people that pretend they DO know that make me laugh.

You waste MY time be copypasta-ing the same tired bible thumping drivel whenever someone has any criticism of your beliefs. If your beliefs are so true and evident, why are there so many people out there trying to "prove" them?
