There are many Christians, like me, who take their faith seriously. I'm not boasting, but I am informing you, that I seek God everyday. Christian life is not one of religiosity; rather a personal relationship with our God. I can go directly to Him for guidance. There is great comfort in the ability to do this. There is no specific song and dance to reach Him; only a humble and contrite heart.

As for proof, my life is proof. I am completely different than I once was. I am no longer in a constant state of depression and remorse. I no longer have the hatred and anger that I once did. I feel this heavy burden has been taken off my shoulders. I have been freed of my addictions. These addictions only temporarily relieved the pain- actually, they numbed me. Jesus is the cure for your pain.
Okay, I think that most of what you say here is great. All the way until the last sentence. You see, Jesus is the cure for YOUR pain, and that is fantastic. And then you lose me when you feel the need to take your personal experience and growth, and prosthelytise for the faith. I have a hard time with peopdle who try to convert others to their faith. I think acting like a human should act, and having a strong faith are wonderful. But more people are turned off to something when they are pressured. Why can't behiving like a Christian be good enough, without having to convert all those who might not get it yet? There are much more effective ways to bring people over, without bashing them over the heads with it. It is a personal journey and people will get it when it is their time to get whatever it is they are supposed to get.

It will happen soon. Read international news, American news is biased and hides the truth from us.

Also, read Ezekiel 38. Its a vision of war between Israel and basically ever other middle eastern country, including Egypt and Sudan. How did Ezekiel know that this war would happen 25 centuries ago, especially since this was before the Medo-Persian empire conquered the Babylonians?

Also, read the book of Daniel. It speaks of the revival of the Roman empire (IMO, the EU) when Roman was just a two horse town in his day? The Bible validates itself if you will study it. Trust me, it will freak you out.
Ah Ezekiel! My third favorite Old testament book behind Joshua and Judges. Here is my favorite verse from Ezekiel:

"there were two women, daughters of the same mother. They became prostitutes in Egypt, engaging in prostitution from their youth. In that land their breasts were fondled and their virgin bosoms caressed. The older was named Oholah, and her sister was Oholibah."

Even the Bible has hott babes!!

I do feel pain, often. Most of which because my parents, siblings, and many of the people I know don't know the Lord-and because you don't know the Lord. I want you, and everyone else, to feel and experience the joy and satisfaction that has been given to me. I no longer feel abandoned and alone. You don't need to be perfect or special. You don't need to earn it; you can't. All you need is to come to God broken and humbled.

Let go and let God.
I really do appreciate your position, as I was once in it myself. I even cried in my car thanking Jesus for saving me. But I realized that I was still lonely, in that I never had anything real in common with the other people in the church. And many of them were "genuine" Christians as you are. They just weren't MY people. I felt like I was denying a very large part of myself just to "fit in" with them.

Here is from a website that describes why this is likely so:

Quote:
This interpretation of language is where we start to get away from the initial meaning of the book. Things like The Elohim said, (Genesis 1:26) "Let us make humanity in our own image, in the likeness of ourselves". Now in the day, Elohim is a plural word, including male and female, and should properly be translated as "Gods" or "Pantheon". This is a word that's used in many ancient texts to talk about the Christian "God". In various interpretations of these early books, the word Elohim was altered to just "God". Let's continue for a moment with the Elohim and God. These early books written by the prophets talk about how Yahweh, an individual member of the Pantheon, goes out to establish his own special botanical and zoological Garden in Eden. Followed by making his own .man to inhabit it (Genesis 2:7): "Yahweh fashioned a man of dust from the soil". Later in the Bible we learn that (Genesis 4:16) "Cain left the presence of Yahweh and settled in the land of Nod, east of Eden". We can assume that the phrase "left the presence of Yahweh" implies that Yahweh is a local deity, and not omnipresent as the Elohim appear to be. We discover that Cain settled among the people of Nod, and married one of the women of that country. Here, for the first time, is specifically mentioned the "other people" who are not of the lineage of Adam and Eve. So where did these people come from? There is no other mention of the Nod or explanation of how they got here on Earth. So we can again assume they were put here in the image of the Elohim, and by the Elohim. Not being children of Yahweh, we can surmise that some of these people were indeed the first pagans.

First of all, I'm not trying to make anyone convert to Christianity. I didn't even tell you that you're wrong or a sinner. I'm not forcing my beliefs on you. I'm simply trying to give insight and defend my faith. People are all looking for something in this life. Faith in Jesus Christ and the Bible explains these things to me better than anything else. If my happiness and personal joy offends you then, then you are one unhappy person. There's no pressure, so don't be so quick to pull that trump card.

Second of all, this is a forum dedicated to discussions of these sort of topics. If you can't handle reading what I wrote, then go to another site. Again, don't tell me that I'm judgemental or something like that. I've yet to tell you that, "you're a sinner", "you're going to hell". People on this site have wrote numerous times that Jesus is not the Way, Jesus is imaginary, and so on. So, who's converting to their faith?

All I want to do is bring people the joy that I feel. I give my testimony because that's all I'm responsible for. You can accept it or reject it.

Not that I have anything against Christians; just wanted to point out a fallacy of logic. My personal opinion is that if someone can be at peace by finding faith in anything; they are welcome to it.
I have heard that lots of times, but when I ask for proof, it never seems to happen. Show me these prophecies you proclaim. There is no God who tells us the end from the begining like the Lord God of Israel. None

Your faith in your God is so strong that I highly doubt that you would believe anything else no matter how strong the proof might be. And Dragon' point, if I read it correctly, was that ALL prophecies that have "come true" have been somehow shoehorned into the original words that the "prophet" spoke, EVEN those from your God.

Well I call that out as BS. There are many many prophecies in the bible that in no way could have come true without a higher power having knowledge of it. But lets not get into all that. Show me a prophecy from another religion, and I mean a spot on prophecy, nothing vague, that has come to pass.
