| Religion What is your take on religion? Do you base your thoughts in life according to your religion? Do you feel that religion should be kept out of Government and Politics? |

Since 1948, they have been flocking back to Israel, as the Bible foretold in Ezekiel and (Jeremiah?). How did these guys know this stuff?

I never said that there were no prophecies that have come true in the Bible. On the other hand, I have seen lots of people read what they want to into prophecy interpretation. Most of the time, the interpretations do not stand up to critical review and because of that they don't meet the requirement for being proof. There are any number of explanations as to how someone back then could know something about modern Israel. The most logical of these is that the book in question was written after the Israelites returned from the first captivity and that the prophecy had already come true in that first homecoming. The establishment of modern Israel may be coincidental or it may not; all depending on faith.

| Guest Posts: n/a | If you cant understand what the prophecy is saying, well, I guess you just see what you want to. Its cool, I didnt want to get into that anyway. I just want someone to show me what they claim. That other religions have fullfilled prophecies. | |

| Some people interpret the highlighted section literally to mean that the diaspora of the Jews populated Europe. It not that I can't answer it; it's that I won't. | |||||||||||||||||||||

| Both Gary and Grace are asking "why" and I believe I already stated why. I am not on a mission to convince anyone of anything where religion is concerned. I've got to wonder if either of you are open-minded enough to read posts by people who do not hold the same beliefs as you. Not only does my religion frown upon proselytizing, but common sense tells me not to beat my head against a brick wall... | |||||||||||||||||||||
