| Let's compare life to a football game. Your team is on offense and you want to run that ball across that white line. The defense says no you won't. Now, the easiest way to run that ball over that white line is to come back at 2 in the morning. Did you accomplish anything? Was their a sense of achievement or victory? No, because it was easy and not challenging. Victory is achieved through strife and challenge. Humans desire competition and strife in their lives. We relate the best to someone when we struggle. This is what draws us near. This is what reminds us of what is important. We remember the hard times and how we got through them. Sometimes God brings strife in our lives to slow us down | |||||||||||||||||||||

| You are wrong about that. Allah is the God of Abraham. If you are talking about semantics and word origins you cannot disregard the origins of the Hebrew or Christian titles for God. As for practising faith through works, I have never disagreed with that. That is the way it should be done. For what you believe should be demonstrated through one's actions. | |||||||||||||||||||||

| I like how you jump to the conclusion that Abraham was adulterous when he was with Hagar. Abrahams' wife wanted him to have an heir, so she told him to go to Hagar. And I didn't realise that I needed proof, I thought it was a well known fact. | |||||||||||||||||||||

| Ya know? Stuff like that is just nutty to me. No offense to those that think that is true. This is my new signature. | |||||||||||||||||||||

| Actually, according to the Christian faith, it's adultery even if the wife "consents". Sounds like polyamory to me, though. | |||||||||||||||||||||

| There wasn't any Christianity yet, or even Judaism at that time. Abraham was the first. | |||||||||||||||||||||
