For example the word love can mean erotic, friendship, unconditional, familial, and probably more. Jesus meant that we must put God first in front of our own lives, our family member, and so on. This is a faith/trust issue. He will bless a person greatly if we focus on Him.

This is in the last days. People will become so corrupt that they will offer up their own family members b/c of their belief in God. This already happens in Europe, Asia, and South America. It has been happening in Asia minor for 2000 years. It will happen soon in the U.S.

Again, Jesus spoke in metaphor. He doesn't want us to live like peasants or bums. We're not trying to achieve anything, other than show our faith in Him. He does want us to put our main focus on Him. Ephesians 5 tells a husband to love his wife as himself and to die to himself for her. To me, this means that I must put my wife above all things. This is the will of God, so I am putting Him first.

Christianity is completely based on trust. We must have faith in something we can't see. We must love our enemies. We must provide for those who need it, all the time. I think God doesn't want us to necessarily understand everything, but just have faith. It sounds nuts, I know. But there is a peace when you surrender your life to Him. I have something to fall back on.

I hope this helps. I don't judge anyone, nor do I look down at anyone. We were all born sinners, we all-believers included-sin, and will continue to sin.
Peace!

In the beginning supposedly 6000 or so years ago we were given by GOD freewill to choose between good and evil but we were not given the knowledge to distinguish between good and evil so when the "apple" thing happened God decided to blame everyone and torture them in hell, but first he killed us with a great flood, because someone else Ate an apple.

I have come to understand, from your posts, that Christians have hurt you or have done evil in the world. Have I done something to offend you?
You really are something else. I have not said that, nor is that any of your business. And I find it offensive that you assume to know why I would disagree with your interpretation of religious doctrine. I have no problem with real Christians, just the ones who use their religion to put others down and judge them for being different then they are, and the outright hypocrites who use Jesus for personal gain and profit. And by the way, yes, Jesus would have a problem with people being successful and ignoring the others in need, or living hedonistically. Funny how you embrace Christianity, but not alll of the teachings.

And those who claim to be real Christians have done a lot of damage to the world, in the name of Jesus, all the while watching their wallets get fatter and their conscience's disappearing. As I said before, I don't believe in Paulianity, or organised Christianity, or any other organised religion. People are the problem 99% of the time, not the message.

Our sin separates us from God. God created hell for renegade angels, not for people. We're intruders in hell. God doesn't want anyone to go to hell. This is why He died on the cross for us all. The only requirement is that we put our faith in Him. Its the hardest and best decision you will ever make. To surrender your will to someone else; it sounds crazy. I know. He won't turn anyone away. I've done some stuff in my youth that many would say is unforgivable. I'm glad that they're not God, nor judge for God.

We accept Him or reject Him. If you have a hard time with this, then go to God in prayer. He gave us freewill, so He can't make us do it.

How corrupt and evil the world must have been for God to have to clean the slate. There were people that were called great hunters among men, which translates into hunting people for sport.

It was not the eating of the apple that caused Adam and Eve to die, but the fact that they didn't confess up to why they did. Actually, God told Adam first, not Eve, to stay away from that tree. Adam didn't do his job. God already knew that Adam would do this, along with Eve.

Christians have done alot to mess this world up. I'm not perfect at all, but my God is.

I'm not trying to offend you at all, and don't condemn you at all for disagreeing with my beliefs. I never have and won't. Have I put you down? I don't push my faith for personal gain, rather I want to help you understand the message of Jesus Christ.

I agree, Jesus told His followers, commanded His followers to go out and spread the Gospel. He also told us to feed the poor, clothe the naked, help the widow, and so on. People are selfish, no matter what their state of being. I wonder how many people, on this forum, would be willing to give up their stuff.

You have the choice to believe that you are God, but we all have to deal with the fact that we don't control our universe. We all die, get sick, get hurt, lose stuff; its out of control for us.

I beg to differ. I have all the control over my universe that I need.

I'm sorry if I offended you. I'm not trying to do that. I only want to understand your stance and your hostility. Its not my goal to make you hostile. I think I do.

If I'm wrong, correct me. You don't agree with the Christian faith b/c of the injustices in the world. Correct? We've done alot of stuff that is bad. Correct? We should not condemn the world, but bring the message. Right?

What teachings have I not followed?

I'm not angry with your unbelief or skepticism, but this is a forum about defending the truth; so I will.

How will you cheat death? That is, if you want to not die. Christ cheated death for me. What a nice guy.
