You are right about God destroying Israel, and in that story that I repeated, it was a tribe of his chosen people who were doing the bad deeds. The Benjamites weren't allowed to marry the daughters of the other tribes because of that incident, but the rest of that story isn't so good either. They were allowed to capture some other women folk and make them their wives, so the only offence that they truly committed was against their God, not their women, for it was accpetable to rape and capture women if you couldn't find a wife.

And for the Christians out there who aren't part of the problem, meaning you follow your faith and back it with works, without judging or condemning, I have no problem with you. I am not attacking people of faith, I am attacking a corrupt institution.

This is a faith/trust issue. He will bless a person greatly if we focus on Him.

This is in the last days. People will become so corrupt that they will offer up their own family members b/c of their belief in God. This already happens in Europe, Asia, and South America. It has been happening in Asia minor for 2000 years. It will happen soon in the U.S.

Again, Jesus spoke in metaphor. He doesn't want us to live like peasants or bums. We're not trying to achieve anything, other than show our faith in Him. He does want us to put our main focus on Him. Ephesians 5 tells a husband to love his wife as himself and to die to himself for her. To me, this means that I must put my wife above all things. This is the will of God, so I am putting Him first.

Christianity is completely based on trust. We must have faith in something we can't see. We must love our enemies. We must provide for those who need it, all the time. I think God doesn't want us to necessarily understand everything, but just have faith. It sounds nuts, I know. But there is a peace when you surrender your life to Him. I have something to fall back on.

I hope this helps. I don't judge anyone, nor do I look down at anyone. We were all born sinners, we all-believers included-sin, and will continue to sin.
Yeah, what was really meant is that hate really means love, kill really means nurture, burn really means recontruct. Great metaphor. One must have true faith to see it.

True, even if it was the end of times, why sit at home and mull about it. Enjoy life whilst you still can.

Christ died for our sins, yet we still sin. I guess he screwed up on that one.

Yeah, and when you die, and nothing happens, you're really screwed. hahahaaaaaaa

Christ died so our sins would be forgiven. We still sin, but our sins are not counted against us. What a wonderful Savior.

You should defend your faith, and not point out the flaws of others. I don't know what you believe, so I can't and won't attack you, so please don't knock any part of my religion.

I don't need to defend my faith, I don't go around telling people that what I believe in is the only true answer to the mysteries of the universe and how it was created. And for you to ask me to not knock any part of your religion is ridiculous. I am allowed to respond to the people posting in this thread about how and in what way they are answering those ten things. I'm sorry if you don't like it, but that doesn't mean I can't offer my thoughts and opinions about it. And every institution does have weirdos, but not every institution was dominating the western world with it's version of God, and ensuring their power through violence and lies and manipulation.

I am free to point out the flaws in anything I feel has flaws, especially an institution as corrupt as the hierarchy of the church. You don't have to read what I say if you don't like it.
