I believe there was someone named Jesus Christ.
I don't believe he did anything actually special.
People were not even aware of the size of the planet.
It wasn't thier fault. There were superstitions everywhere.
I guess without Bush's fanatical Christian views we
would never be on this crusade we are on now.
Thank You Jesus.
Praise Jesus.
Tell me I am wrong Jesus. Appear before me.

I'm sorry if you don't like it, but that doesn't mean I can't offer my thoughts and opinions about it. And every institution does have weirdos, but not every institution was dominating the western world with it's version of God, and ensuring their power through violence and lies and manipulation.

I am free to point out the flaws in anything I feel has flaws, especially an institution as corrupt as the hierarchy of the church. You don't have to read what I say if you don't like it.
You are, in fact, continually defending what you believe. You don't like what I believe because it is not ideal to you. You want the path to God to be a buffet. A little love, hold the obedience, and extra tolerance. You also want to equate all religions. This is impossible, because they are all very different. There, I finally wrote something negative about your beliefs.

The church has many flaws, but Jesus is flawless. Trust in Christ, not the church.

I enjoy reading what you write. I'm a big boy. I want you to believe what I do, because I believe that Christ will set you free of your burdens. Also, I care about your well being. Strangers are only strange when you alienate them. I'm trying to befriend you. You are free to believe what you like. I still don't hate you; I don't judge you for your unbelief. God gives us a lifetime to repent. We have many opportunities. You have an opportunity as you read this.

I was "saved", and I was still a very lonely, miserable person. I didn't feel spiritually "whole" until I found Wicca.

I firmly believe I am of the "other people" mentioned in the bible, that are not tainted with original sin. Which is funny, because I am half Jewish. So maybe I'm only half tainted.

I live according to the principle, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". I find spiritual truths in all religious philosophies, but I don't need all the hate, greed and hypocrisy of organised religion. That is all. Organised religions are not what they espouse themselves to be. I have no problem with the teachings of Jesus, but I certainly do not believe that the majority of those who claim to follow them have any real idea of why they are doing that. I also think that there are a lot of people who aren't capable of true spiritual understanding because they aren't given the tools necessary to gain that by the church. I would much rather meditate on what the Dalai Lama has to say about our world today, then some person who lived 1940 years ago who couldn't possibly have a clue as to what people were facing today. But that's just me. I'm not saying that anyone else has to believe that, or that it's the only way. I'm not in need of spiritual guidance from you or any proselytising to change my views. There is more than one way of understanding the mysteries of the universe than a single theology based on the history of the Jewish culture after their release from Pharaoh in Egypt. If you are truly searching your soul and engaging in exercises to expand your understanding of your self and your world, you will find the same truths that other religions have found and laid claim to. I have great respect for the good that has been done in the name of God, but that doesn't erase the terrible things that have been done at all.

Yes, that's just what I want, the path to God to be a buffet. Right.

I dont think there is anyone here who is promoting the church. I know myself, I only promote having a relationship with Jesus Christ, who claims to be the only way.

Even if you dont agree, step in our shoes for a moment. Christ said "if you denie me before man, I will denie you before the Father" You see the possition we are in.

Jesus was right when he told Peter about the rooster crowing twice, Peter will deny Jesus three times.

He also hung on a cross upside down, till he died for his belief in Christ, willingly.

Does Wicca fill the void in your life? Christ filled the void in my life. No vain repetitious prayer or dance/song or work is needed. I have peace in my life that is strong in good times and stronger in bad times. My prayer is for you to live a life without emptiness.

Christ commanded us to turn the other cheek, to offer up more to thieves, to feed the hungry, to clothe the naked, to care for the poor... That's my God. Love your neighbor as yourself.

Your path to God is Burger King. You want it your way. You would rather work hard and try to earn salvation rather than be given it freely.
