I don't agree with you at all, but I'm not going to condemn you for not believing. I've been on the other side of this debate; I know that Christianity is hard to believe. Its entirely faith based. You usually don't see any outcome of your good works. For example, MLK Jr. did enormous good for blacks in the U.S.; he was murdered in his own home. He was a Bible believing Christian.

I will defend my faith to the end.

I felt that Martin Luther King, Jr. did more good for his people than Jesse Jackson ever hope to do.

Mr. Jackson keeps racial tension alive. He crawls out from under his bridge only when it serves his personal interest.

MLK Jr. would not associate with Jackson, if he was alive today.

I know that MLK, Jr. never had hoof-in-mouth disease. It is so sad that his life was cut short, tragically.

The meaning of life is simple. I live in glory and in victory for God. Your sad reasoning shows that you want to be God and determine your fate. You can try, but you can't and will someday die.

If there is no Jesus, or God for this matter, than what is life worth living for? If we just evolved or life appeared magically (POOF!) as evolution teachings, than why do you struggle? Why do you put so much effort in making others look bad? Why do you waste time reading and learning just to prove others wrong? I would just go out and live life as I see fit. I would do anything anytime I wanted. If I die, so what; life is over at that point.
Why do good? Why help anyone? Why worry? Its survival of the fittest. Kill the old, sick, retarded, black, Jew, and Christian to create an utopian society (sounds like Germany or Russia).
Your life would have no purpose, meaning, reason without God.
PLEASE COMMENT.
This post disturbs me for a couple reasons. First, the meaning of life is to procreate and continue the species. Nothing more and nothing less. That is what we are all programmed internally to do. Life is worth living for a variety of reasons. There are so many beautiful things in life. Love, pleasure, the birth of a child, nature, etc. Second, I do not need to believe in God or Jesus to have morality. I do not believe in God, at least not in the way mainstream Christians do, and I definitely do not believe in Jesus, but I am a very moral person. I am always up to help someone in need. I am good to my friends and my family and would do anything for them, even give my life if need be. How can this be, you say, if I do not believe in God. It's very simple really: I have a conscience. Helping others makes me feel good, and hurting others makes me feel bad. What is so hard to believe about that? Second, everyone has an internal desire to better themselves. To have the best of everything. That too, is programmed in us. Some people just have the desire more then others. That leads to people screwing other people, etc. These people don't have a conscience, plain and simple. My life has plenty of purpose, meaning, and reason without your so-called God. My purpose in life: to protect and help my family and friends, and make sure they get the best of life. My meaning in life: my love ones. My reason for all this: because it is the right thing to do.

So, the meaning of life is to just keep the race living. This is your opinion. I believe that we were created with purpose. God gives us that purpose.

Where did you get that morality? People have a sense of morality that animals do not. This is not coincidence. Animals don't share food with strangers. Animals don't give up comfort for free. Animals kill, steal, and cheat in order to survive. We must have received our morality from something. I don't see how morality could be shown as an evolutionary adaptation. Also, you use the word program, which tells me that you believe we were created with a sense of morality.

Why is doing good the right way? Don't misinterpret me when I state this, but without God we need not do any good.

Jesus said that we must love our neighbors as ourselves. We must take care of the poor, feed the hungry and clothe the naked. He said many other things.

The message of Christ is love and repentance. We can't decide our own level of goodness, because the level would be different. Also, who would decide what is good enough? Some people do alot more good than most. There needs to be a judge who oversees. Third, heaven is perfect demands perfection. We've all been bad atleast once, so we're not perfect. There needs to be payment for this. Christ lived a sinless life and paid for our bad deeds.

If you were in a Colombine type situation and had a gun to your head and the person holding it said "denounce Christ right here", would you say it to save your own life?

I know if someone had a gun to my head and told me to renounce the Goddess, I would do it in a heartbeat if it meant that I would live. She knows what is really in my heart, and would want me to do what I had to in order to survive, as long as I didn't willingly put anyone else in danger in the process.
