I'd much rather believe the truth, it's easier than looking for the nice bits of a story to believe in.

Im saying that if one has a full understanding of biblical teaching, most importantly the teachings of Christ in no way could you make such absurd claims. BTW Gentiles were never bound to old test Jewish law, hence the name.

I dont think you would know the truth if it was right in front of your face.

Well thanks, but no thanks, I was never more free then when I was saved.

But you dont understand the things you talk about regarding the old test, Or how it aplies to today's Christians. Whats worse you probably do, and only wish to decieve.

No Grace...Tadpole DIDN'T cherry pick anything. Quite the opposite in fact considering he's taking in the full picture while you are crying 'that's old jewish law...Not 'my' interpretation' as an argument.

And nobody here is showing any intolerance towards Christianity. You may want to intepret it as such, but crying it is doesn't make it so. Just because some of us take in the full picture, and reject that full picture along with the bits you'd like to be preferred, doesn't equate to 'intolerance'...

You are free to believe as you will...I won't enact any laws to try and make your beliefs illegal, or even your preferences illegal. That shows a great deal of tolerance in fact, to allow you the right to believe as you want...

But when YOU use your beliefs as a means to invalidate MY beliefs, or presume superiority of another's beliefs? Then darling YOU are the one showing 'intolerance'...Not the other way around.

Now if you'd like, I'll be more then happy to help you cut down a tree so you can make yourself a cross and play martyr on...Cause that's what you're working up to...'Oh, I'm soooo prosecuted for being a Christian.'

You only wish.

If that's the case it isn't working very well!

Why do you think that billions of people of faith aren't thinking for themselves?

Isn't that rather arrogant?

I have not cherry picked, in fact I am the only one here who has demanded the consideration of the bible in it's complete form.

Actually I did that too in post #54

I think you have to take the Bible in context in its entirety, and I'm not pretending that's easy or straightforward.

But if you want to search for the truth it's in there.

My "interpretation" has nothing to do with it. It IS old test Jewish law. This isnt debatable.

No, saying he wants to save the world from Christianity is intolerance, but you just go ahead and see what you want to. You always do.

I dont know what the hell you are talking about. When did I invalidate your beliefs? In Fact this whole thread is about trying to invalidate MY beliefs. Any fool can clearly see that.

Let me ask you this... In what way are Jews bound to the Jewish law in the bible? Jews are not a separate species... Why would an omnibenevolent "god" create different classes of people? Why give us instincts and demand that we ignore them?

Way to over simplify the entire thing, and in doing so demonstrate complete ignorance of the subject. I have read your books... perhaps you should read some of mine. I think the only reason you don't is because you are afraid you will lose your faith if you do. The truth will set you free.

I am very well versed in biblical teachings, and I know them to mostly be immoral, non-applicable to real life, and complete rubbish.

The fact that you think the catholic church is the only true form of Christianity tells me everything I need to know. Please continue in your ignorance, I have no more time for you.

Where in the new testament does it say that the old testament no longer applies?

Even if the old testament does not apply, why would you worship a creature evil enough to commit the atrocities in the old testament?
