I think Grace has zero information about the beginning of the universe because she fails to open her ears.

Christopher Hitchens is a good man of reason, but I think he should stay debating religion and refrain from politics.

But they're not open Grace. They are only hearing what they want to hear, and denying every other possibility, no matter how much evidence science has brought forth. There is no reason that science and religion should disagree, except for when religion will not entertain any possibility but their own. Even if you take all the scientific theories all the way back to the big bang, it does not disprove the existence of God. It only seems to prove that the Biblical ideas are wrong. Even if you totally debunked the Bible, in it's totality, you could still believe in God. So this insane conflict between the two institutions, church and science, could be reconciled with a little bit of common sense on both sides.

I'd be interested to hear that too!

Hitchen's pompous, over-effected British accent doesn't mask the fact that he's a hateful, anti-Christian pseudo-intellectual with a sad, ongoing history of alcohol abuse.

Face it, this is little more than you sheltering yourself because you are afraid to challenge your beliefs. If the bible is the unerring word of god, it can withstand any challenge, and should be challenged, because only through challenge can it truly demonstrate it's strength.

The problem is that whenever it is challenged it crumbles, that is why religious people are terrified of those who question.

But who created the 'primordial hot and dense initial condition'??

You're begging the question. It's fallacious to assume something needed to be created in the first place as evidence of creation. Things that small pop in an out of existence all the time and it's meaningless to demand who is doing it behind the scenes. It's even fallacious to think of the big bang as emanating from a single point in time let alone space as Hawking and others propose. It's kind of hard to grasp a multi-dimensional event when you're only thinking in two, Gary.

Secondly it's interesting that you would investigate something no further than the first couple of sentences of a wikipedia article. Then have the audacity to dismiss it in favor of your fairy tales.

The theory is absurd. First question (that in no way could ever be answered) How does nothing become something? It defies EVERYTHING we know. It defies the most basic principles of Math, and Science.
