1. The creator of the thread, Nightwish, made the stipulation of 'no debating pros/cons' of other religions. He asked that his thread not be turned into a bash fest of ANY religion...

If you can't see that as being to YOUR benefit, to have a place to state your religious beliefs without having to worry about 'Christianity is being bashed', then seems Gracie you don't seem to find it in you to appreciate when others are trying to keep ALL the religious bashing from occuring in at least one thread...Specifically in THAT thread.

2. OTF's warning was to back up Nightwish's request that those choosing to respond to the threads, only state their beliefs and not use it as an attempt to bash other peoples beliefs...That that topic wasn't a place to 'debate' the pros/cons of anyone elses beliefs to support one's own beliefs.To protect ALL respondants, so that NONE of the respondants would have to hear their beliefs bashed...INCLUDING not having your beliefs bashed Gracie.

And that anyone posting negatively about another's beliefs would be banned...That means Gracie...Anyone bashing your beliefs or someone else's beliefs would be banned...

Of course, someone DID bash other's beliefs...Totally ignored Nightwish's request as well as ignored OTF's warning...

And it wasn't bashing 'Christianity', but non-Christian beliefs...

But did they get banned when they did so? No. Instead their post was left up, as well as OTF issuing another warning NOT to bash other's beliefs, to move the dissing to another thread if they felt the need to respond in like.

So while you're sitting here complaining about those warnings and requests? You should be instead thanking the fact that YOUR beliefs weren't bashed in that thread, that everyone but one of your fellow Christians are taking the warnings to heart and doing their best to keep the discussion in that thread polite and respectful to YOUR beliefs although the same can't be said about their beliefs being respected in turn by one of the respondants...

As well as celebrating that the person insulting other's beliefs didn't get banned as was promised by OTF's earlier warning...But instead was allowed to keep their insult posted as well other's warned not to respond to that poster's insult...

They're still allowed to post, they weren't banned as threatened, they were allowed to still insult other's beliefs in a thread that specifically stated not to insult other's beliefs...As well as nobody else in that thead saying a negative thing about your beliefs or what was said about their beliefs, because they're respecting you and the rules by NOT saying anything that might be construed as 'insulting' or 'bashing' of another's beliefs.

So whatever you're whining about here is completely made up in your own head there Gracie. Instead of making those claims, you should be saying 'thank you God' for OTF allowing someone to diss another's beliefs and not banning them as promised. And then saying 'thank you God' again for posters not responding in like to your 'buddy', instead taking OTF's warnings to heart.

I for one, have been very proud of the posters in that thread, except for the one poster...Who have shared their beliefs (Christian and non-Christian alike) with one another in a respectful and polite manner. That's what broke my heart the most, knowing that everyone else participating in the thread (including you) were doing so in such a community concious manner, and for the first time a FRIENDLY NON-JUDGEMENTAL manner for a change.

Something that all of us (including yourself) have been asking for for weeks to happen. To be able to state one's beliefs without fear/worry that their beliefs would be trashed by someone else that believes differently then them. And then flame wars resulting from that clash of difference?

And the first thread we have that specifically states that those sentiments be carried out...You are upset about it and the warnings for those that don't want to be that considerate?

I simply don't get you there Gracie. You wanted a thread to share your beliefs with others without the bashing...Then are upset about the rules applied to keep that bashing from happening to you or anyone else participating in that thread.

I guess it's true...Some people don't want to be pleased or can be pleased. You asked for it, it was done, and you still find something to complain about.

I am a little bit laid back on my religious beliefs. I like to keep it simple.

It doesnt benefit me at all. I wasnt even part of the thread (other than to support the Giants). Everyone already knows what I believe, at least they think they do.

I just dont understand why its ok to bash peoples beliefs here at all. There should be a bash the Christians sec, this way the few Christians that are here, could have a discussion without worrying about being mocked and ridiculed, over here.

Oh I see, when a Christian trys to make a point about the inconsistancy of another belief, its bashing. But when you all do it (90% of the threads here) its not bashing?

I really dont care what went on in the thread, I just dont see why bashing Christianity should be tolerated to the extent that it is here. Gary's thread was even mocked by highway, a mod, on the very first page.

Im not having a problem with the thread at hand, I just wonder why all these threads arent met with the nazi style of mod. Christians thought of the day shouldnt be responded with "Boringggggg" by a mod no less.
My problem isnt with the thread, its with all the others where its allowed to go unchecked. And you can bet your ass if I made the same thread, and asked for imunity, I would be granted no such thing.

Actualy I really dont much care to share my beliefs here I spent most of my time here trying to correct people false ideas about my beliefs. I never said I wanted a thread where everyone can share there beliefs, nor am I against it.
I asked for nothing other than the same respect everyone who isnt a Christian gets here, in ALL threads.

I cant speak for others, but Im respectful in threads that dont regard my faith. For the most part I dont even post in them, Unless asked, which has happened in a couple threads.

And in so called "Christian" threads you make extraordinary claims when challenged on you just huff and puff.
