Religion What is your take on religion? Do you base your thoughts in life according to your religion? Do you feel that religion should be kept out of Government and Politics?

When one shops for a faith, they get what they purchase, an un-fulfilling pragmatic pretense of faith.
Or they have answered their calling and found the path that fits their need. And it is true for them. And their acts and works prove their validity. I don't think it's even necessary to argue over what each individual believes, or what I believe. You belief should been shown through your actions. That is what I believe, your actions everyday define your beliefs. And as long as those actions aren't hurting anyone, they are valid and true for each person, and should be respected by everyone else.

There is no guarantee that actions shouldn't hurt someone. Many essential things for life depend on possibly hurting something or at times someone to live. That's strictly a human moral code, not one that's actually a universal constant.

I think it is pretty easy to understand what I meant in my post. You aren't hurting anyone with your actions by believing one way or another. If you are hurting someone other than in self defense, those actions still speak to your beliefs, it just makes those beliefs unacceptable when put into action, by decree of the society you live in. It isn't okay to go and murder someone because God said it was okay, that is still not acceptable in our society, but you can't stop me from engaging in legal activities because you belive they are wrong.

I didn't say anything about God or legal. The way life is set up, some things have to be hurt for others to live. Carnivores eat other animals. Herbivores eat plants. Both have to kill to live. Not to mention some animal species duel to near death for the chance to procreate. Parasites and diseases need a host. No living thing is gauranteed a life free from hurt on this planet. That was what I meant. No God or legal necessary.

I see what you meant, but I think you got the gist of what I meant. If you aren't out hurting other humans or committing crimes, it doesn't matter what you believe. Actions speak louder than beliefs. Actions define who we are, and can go against what one claims to believe.

I believe that God created us with a purpose in mind. So many people are gifted artists, athletes, thinkers, creators, builders, helpers, etc... the list can go on forever. I believe that each of these types of people can benefit one another if we apply the God given talent that we have.

I have been a Christian all my life, even so, I sought to really know Christ. Then I went through a terrible time in my life; a divorce from my one and only marriage. During this time, I had a what I call now The Visitation, in which I believe God touched me so that I would be aware that He really is and that He truly loves and cares for everyone of His creation.

Since the "visitation", I have actively sought to know The Truth. I can't tell you off the top of my head how many times I thought I had Found it!!! Just as recently as 3-4 months, what I thought was The Truth has been laid aside for something even more revelant. To put it in a nutshell (for you), it is in this book. I hope you'll read it. Your chances of staying alive in the next few months (years) whenever, will be much improved if you do and take to heart what you read. Please read The Incredible Human Potential.
