Ill say this. If there is no Muslim or Wiccan on the Football team, why bother worrying about it?

Im sure there are exceptions to that scenario, but seriously. I beleive in Fairness rather than absolute equality.


If I give a rich man a billion dollars, and a poor man a billion dollars, is it equal? yes. Is it fair? No.

Maybe this is true in the middle of the bible belt but not so in the North East. Wiccans are all over New England and Muslims are in all the big Cities.
Fairness and absolute equality are exactly the same thing.
Why is it not fair? In this simple text and example you have provided, it absolutely is fair, unless your bias.

It's kind of the "If you can't play nice..." philosophy.
But I agree that if there is no Muslim or Wiccan on the team, then that prayer should not be an issue.

To give the rich man a billion dollars is equal to giving the poor man. But the rich man is already rich, so it wouldnt be fair to give him more money?

another analogy. I have a headache, you have a stomach ache. The nurse gives us both an aspirin cause of my headache. Equal, yes. Fair? no.

What is good for some is not good for all.


What would be fair in this context is to allow anyone who objects to obstain from praying at the football game. Or encouraging him or her, to pray in their own way themselves, or throw in a prayer of their choosing in the group.

If this is to be true then the government should not (1) mandate childrens attendance in school, and (2) use tax money to support public education. Since it does, then the government must then establish schools that reflect the nation, including those who believe we are a Christian nation under God.
