Thumbs down homosexuality/sodomy?
It doesn't matter what you believe......why are freedom supporting Americans worrying so much about what consenting adults do in private? There are a lot of things I don't believe in or like, but I am not going to get on a soapbox and cry out about all of it..... What ever happened to live and let live in your private life? I don't need Bush and gang telling ME how to run my life......

RidinHighSpeeds and company: let's go back to the days of no social security, unemployment insurance, workers' compensation, food stamps for poor kids, medicaid for poor kids....AND lets cut down on free emergency medical care for the poor and uninsured and school budgets....... Maybe we should privatize the fire and police departments......paid for by those that use these services.... Lets cut way down on property taxes and pay for our own snowplowing, road maintanence, garbage collection...... Let everybody pay for their own kids' vaccinations.....(if you can't afford it, tough.) Make every road a toll road.... Don't inspect cars, just fine drivers with cruddy cars......We don't need a military or many police, we can all be armed..... End welfare for welfare queens AND corporations.... Don't pay farmers to NOT grow crops..... If somebody wants "police" protection, let them hire private companies..... No free/cheap birth control.....let 'em make babies.....(or force them to use abstinence).... Imagine a world with very few taxes....... LOL (Yes, I hate taxes, but at least we the people get some of the money spent on us...)

RidingHIghSpeeds keeps cranking about tax reform.....presumably he wants to pay less..... At least those who are not well off get something.....and even the well off benefit..... Imagine NO corporate welfare as well as no unemployment insurance.... Hey, I agree with you intangible child....the number of uninsured Americans is a disgrace...... And some out there complain about their taxes......they should walk in the shoes of people who are worse off and it wasn't their fault (sickness, accident, low IQ)... I more than agree that the WAR is a waste of a precious commodity--money--that should be used for AMERICANS..... There is money.....but look at what they spend it on......

I believe businesses should offer there full-time employees benefits. People need to learn how to work in this country. I've mentioned an example of my Russian friend who came to this country, very poor; he looked everywhere for work, got a job, got an apartment, paid for night school at a state school (affordable), and now he is doing very well. The point is, there are lazy people and then there are people who are doing a good job raising a family, etc. Don't get me wrong, I am also jealous of those who are well-off, but I know with hard work and dedication, I can to be well-off

Ridinhighspeeds and company...hahaha I like that. I've got plenty of homework and studying to do tonight...but I kinda want to get involved in the debates now that my name was called out. haha

A company that pays full time employees benefits have to raise the price of what they sell to allow them the same profit margin.... Also, very sad to say, many companies hire several employees part time so they can pay few (or no) benefits.... They especially love "independent contractors" who work for themselves....even if you are a store cashier.... A worker must find a company willing to hire him (her) full time AND pay decent benefits.... I am proud of your Russian friend.....and any American or legal resident that makes good..... Sad to say, not everybody has the same opportunities.... Some people just do not have the intelligence or health for examples.... What makes you think that poor and working class people don't work? Somebody has to do the cr*ppy jobs..... There are lazy bums at all socioeconomic levels....if they can get away with it.... ha ha. You are studying and doing homework? I did some of that, but got most of my education at the College of Hard Knocks..... Actually, I like your posts....and I wish that your view of the world and what it could be is possible.....I just haven't seen any way to achieve it, yet. Capitalism is a double edged sword....great when everything goes right, and not so great when things go wrong.... And there are a lot of capitalists who think that companies shouldn't even offer benefits...... I wish you the best with your studies....take a break.....it helps.... Maybe I am older and cranky, but I lost a lot of my idealism and wanting to change the world years ago. I just try to survive AND look out for my backside. Ideals ARE sooo nice though...... And I would NOT let greedy Bush and Gang run MY life..... I don't trust those rich arrogant sons of -----. Just a thought.
