Consequences? There are always consequences in war. They hit us, we hit them, they hit us, we hit them. Instead of pussy footing around which is exactly what they want us to do so they can kill us off slowly, take the initiative and put the consequences for bad behavior on their shoulders. Civilians among the enemy will soon learn which side to align with to stay alive.

Wouldn't that mean stripping the president's title as Commander in Chief
Not entirely, Let him decide who we need to fight just not how we need to fight them. The Days of our President having more than a hint if any Military Tactical experience are long gone by. More to my point though is take any kind of Tactical decisions out of the hand of the pussies in Congress.

Actually what I think bin Laden wants/expects Americans to do is spend way more money than we take in in taxes so that our economy crumbles. And I think he also expects us to do just what you describe. It would make recruiting for him so much easier. So many more dead civilians, so many more angry relatives to pull into their ranks. If each family in Iraq has on average 4 members, that's 3 potential recruits after we knock off the 4th.

Here comes the old theory that Bush is producing more terrorists by killing them. That's funny. When we didn't kill them, they seemed to multiply also. Shall I document every terrorist act from 1948 until the present when we were not fighting back? Who's fault was it before Bush was president for the multiplying of terrorists? Better find another talking point from the Democratic headquarters. I've heard that one way too many times.

Hmph. I think it's just common sense, rather than a Democratic talking point. Aren't you yourself all worked up to kill terrorists where-ever you find them regardless if it's legal, based on what they did on 9/11?

Yes I am and we should kill them where we find them. However, Bush is not the reason a person becomes a terrorist. That's just nonsense.

A terrorist is created much along the same lines as the way your opinions came about. Same intolerance, same "final battle" mentality, same generalized violent response, same prejudice against the "evil infidel", same "righteous mission" ....

You are a proof that terrorism is a social problem that transcends cultural, gender, racial, ethnic and religious boundaries. It seems that any culture, religion, ethnicity can create a violent "crusader", who will use any means to see his side "victorious".

You are no better. And if you thinkyour nationality makes you better... well then you are painfully mistaken. Your chosen side doesn't save or condemn you. It is your actions. A terrorist is a terrorist if he propogates indiscriminate violence against any and all enemy targets. You are doing that... well done

Killing a terrorist whose desire is to kill Americans and Jews and Christians for Allah does not make me a terrorist. It makes me a patriotic American. I am much much better. I don't advocate indiscriminate violence. I only advocate killing terrorists and I would kill one the same as I kill a rat or a bug and with the same remorse.

You're another confused liberal who can't see the difference. Hopefully some day you will mature enough to see what really is happening.

Dear friend, dividing the world population into "friend" and"enemy" is the truly immature reaction displayed in this thread. the world is more nuanced than that, and unless your opinions reflect those nuances, then you will always be useless to the world.

You say you wish to kill islamic fascists, but you are willing to take down innocents along with them. Just like the terrorist wishes to kill americans jews and christians for allah, YOU are willing to kill muslims for america. Same boat, different ticket.

Peace and negotiation is the only way islamic terrorism will cease. As the world leaer, america is held to higher standards than any other nation. If america does not live up to the responsibility of setting an example by NOT torturing prisoners, by NOT imprisoning them in violation of human rights, by NOT bombing city areas indiscriminately, by NOT circumventing international consensus, by NOT initiating armed conflict for non-existent reasons, how can the country demand that the rest of the world behave properly.

As long as the US propogates violence and armed conflict as solutions to international instability, there will be no peace. THe US will CONTINUE to give the stupid terrorists ammunition to garner support and train new recruits. It will CONTINUE to de-stabilize whole regions ( enough to push a sizeable number over to the dark side) It will CONTINUE to act in direct violation of its own stated principles.

As the world leader, if the US bases its policies on the actions of lesser developed countries, then it will continue to regress until it reaches the same level of social development as any bloody fundamentalist nation.

YOu may not see it, but "americanism" is the new religion of the US and it is breeding its own set of violent fanatics. Like you.

There have always been American violent fanatics like me. If you muslims don't like us, then leave us the hell alone. Don't come over here murdering people on our soil and then cry when you get it returned.

Afghanistan has a muslim democracy and it is fighting terrroism. How do you feel about them? Is Afghanistan your enemy also?
