Yeah sort of how the US galvanized against the commies followed by the "terrorists" these days. NEvertheless the fact remains that it IS a powerful which needs to be dealt with. YOu can't jsut say it's a lie and then let it be.

Yup my sect is not accepted by the mullahs because the basic theological precepts upon which our sect is based DENIES any political or ideological power to a clerical class. I move about in Pakistan without people knowing that i am offcially a "non- muslim". The point is that the mullahs do the shit talkin and the common man just listens to them because all other sources of information are considered unreliable. That is not due to the "evilness" of Islam or the common muslim, but rather due to the power grabbing attempts of the mullah minority ( kinda like how the catholic priests used to have a disproportionate amount of power compared to their numbers.)

I am VERY interested in knowing where you got information of mohammad's vast pillaging hordes. As per all the history i have ever read in my life mohammad never went ont he rampage, he never committedc war crimes, he never killed for vengance, he never tried to exterminate jews or any other people, and he never engaged in offensive warfare.

If you have information contradicting that i would like to know the sources.
Why don't you buy this book and read it for yourself!

Do you realize what you said above can be as true about America and Christianity??? That is if you look at the Iraq war as a religious war, which most people in the middle east do... and who can blame them with a Christian president in a mostly Christian country pre emptively attacking.

There is little doubt that the world in general is more liberal than it was 50 years ago and beyond. Conservatives are simply roadblocks on the path to an ever more progressive and liberal world. What a sad existence.

Michel Thooris, head of the small Action Police union, claims that the new violence is taking on an Islamic fundamentalist tinge.

"Many youths, many arsonists, many vandals behind the violence do it to cries of 'Allah Akbar' (God is Great) when our police cars are stoned," he said in an interview.

Larger, more mainstream police unions sharply disagree that the suburban unrest has any religious basis. However, they do say that some youth gangs no longer seem content to throw stones or torch cars and instead appear determined to hurt police officers — or worse.

"First, it was a rock here or there. Then it was rocks by the dozen. Now, they're leading operations of an almost military sort to trap us," said Loic Lecouplier, a police union official in the Seine-Saint-Denis region north of Paris. "These are acts of war."

Sadio Sylla, an unemployed mother of three, watched the Oct. 13 ambush of the police patrol in Epinay-sur-Seine from her second-floor window. She, other witnesses and police union officials said up to 50 masked youths dashed out from behind trees.

One of the three officers needed 30 stitches to his face after being struck by a rock. On Saturday, five people were placed under investigation for attempted murder in relation to the ambush.

Well this IS how most people in those areas view the situation. <now do you wish to disregard the perception because it doesn't match yours OR do you wish to accept it as a TRUTH that, right or wrong, this is how people perceive the US.

The first choice would have you continue along the same trajectoryin the Middle East as you are now. The second would require that you accept te opinion of the locals and then make an effort to eliminate that opinion.. this may require a date for withdrawal, an admission that the basis for war was incorrect AND an acceptance tat maybe the War on Terror is not fought in the archaic fashion that your president would ave you believe so you can keep funding expensive and counterproductive wars.

Or is it so important to toe the line and continue with te same disasterous policies, rather than CHANGE that which is angering people UNNECESSARILY

Of course you are unable to show any causal link between Islam and violence.

The Paris ghettoes for mostly albanian muslims and a variety of other immigrants have beena problem for a long time.

But then again there is NO ghetto in the world that does not pose a problem to civil administrations.

The paris riots were a reaction to poor living standards and exceptionally high crime rates.

Likewise the present attacks against the police as nothing to do with islamic ideology. It is a bunch of ghetto dwellers taking their frustration out on the most visible arm of government. If some of tem mistakenly try to justify their actions by calling it islamic, that makes THEM wrong.. not the religion.
