I think it is a nice thread Jay. Nothing can derail God's plans so just keep on trucking, shine the light that you have been given.

Some people cannot see the sand when they are standing on top of it. I know I have watched this happen when I had started the mining operation. A few people we had known for years stood right in the mist of what we were going to mine and said they could not see it. Even though that exact same dirty looking material they were standing on (which was high grade road materials) later made perfect spec road material. We saw it they couldn't. It was that simple. They could not see what it was until it was processed and in a stockpile ready for shipment.

Diamonds do not look like diamonds either when they come out of the mines. Once polished and finished though the beauty is clear to anyone.

It was a good lesson for me. What one person or two or more can clearly see others are blinded to. It does not mean because that one that is blinded to seeing what you see that it is not there.

Thats exactly what im saying. The truth is as plain as day for all to see. Written in black and white, and happening before our eyes

No, I'm sorry JayD, that is not the case. If there was any evidence of truth about the God, the Bible, Jesus or anything divine for that matter, faith would not be necessary. It is completely possible that all of it exists only within the human mind. I suggest you don't lie about God anymore. Who knows what the consequences could be if God truly exists?!?

Who would God be more mad at? The one who listens to his word, or the one who calls his word our own imagination? If God trully exists???

JayD, consider the admonishment within the Scriptures that say we are to 'rightly DIVIDE the Word of truth'

How would there be any need to divide, or to separate it out, if it is not incorporated into that which is not true, not divine?

Remember the parable about the dude that bought a whole field just for the treasure buried somewhere in that field. The bible is that whole field, the treasure is for seekers, for diggers to discover.

To him who has ears to hear, let him hear what the Spirit says...

Selah.

Well OD if you want to go into the dangerous waters of choosing what you believe to be true outta the bible and what isnt, thats on you. But in the words of Jesus Christ himself, "if it werent true, I wouldnt have told you."

Your Damn right he told you. And you have rejected his truth, told through scripture, which he himself describes as "food".

What is it you think he told you?

JayD, I hope I have not rejected his truth. I feel that God saved my heart from that which my mind could not rectify of a book that otherwise is chockfull of errors and contradictions. I feel that Jesus has shown himself to be my Lord and Savior and the King of this whole universe. I believe He is the way the truth and the life...

I believe His Holy Spirit came to lift those truths and speak them to me as Life. I believe Jesus is the Word. Not so many pages from a tree, but all the eternal breaths of one who gave His life for me on a tree...

I believe He is the pearl of great price and the rest of it is just the clam...

I believe every verse of scripture rises or falls on the one: God so loved the world He GAVE us His Son...

I don't know...if this is rejecting His Truth, I pray my willingness to be teachable and the fact that I am vulnerable and not dogmatic, will work its advantage to me, that I would yet then learn what is truth.

In the meanwhile, I am sorry that you can claim to not reject the truth and yet get mad at me and damn me. Not your best shot at compassion JayD.
In fact, it out and out hurt my feelings...

You have not 'defended' any truth here by comparing end-times prophesy with 'Star Trek'.

True.
On the other hand, it does not mean that the people seeing things aren't insane.
