Religion What is your take on religion? Do you base your thoughts in life according to your religion? Do you feel that religion should be kept out of Government and Politics?

As compared to what?

It is written: "...a rather remarkable body of evidence points to 1996 as the year the world will end. In a nutshell, we have strong reason to believe that God will call a halt to His 'human experiment' on December 31 of that year. The evidence really is quite striking" -- Dr. Mark Farine Weekly World News 18 June 1996

Also: "Hundreds of the world's most revered men of God are already on record as saying we are in the Earth's final days, when Christ will come back to claim His children and take them to Heaven." -- Weekly World News 5 August 1997

And on, and on, and...

Whats funny is I've yet to see one of you that even know the first thing about it. I'd love for one of you to give a study regarding biblical end times and why it isnt so. You bring up waco to prove biblical prophecy wrong, when guys like DK are a hugh part of prophecy. "Be not decived for there shall arise false Christs and false prophets. And they shall say go to the desert, the Christ is there, but go not." I dont mind that you folks dont believe, all im asking you you bring something to the table.

The ancient Greeks used to say, "You shall know a man by the friends that he keeps." Given the nature of their friends and advisers, what are we to conclude about the Republican party:
Stop the madness before us it stops!

Personally, I might be a tad bit grouchy tonight but this is what I think and even in a good mood I would think it, so here goes:

I think everyone ought to live for today. If you believe its the end times or not, just live for today. If its the end, you' ll know before the clock strikes midnight! Whoa, it already did here for another day...

All this trying to figure out what's next, what's next...yada, yada, yada...blah, blah, blah...

It is a cultural thing. Westernized society is like so into what lies ahead. Too linear. Like it isn't enough to know what's on the menu today, but you want to know what's on it for the whole freakin' week!

Chill people. Live for today and do it the best ya can by whatever means you can.

Id rather ones own thoughts on these subjects, but I can work with this. Peterism was invented by the RCC. They were sick of people claiming that every Pope that step forth was the antichrist. They point to the destruction of the temple, and the city as proof that all of Jesus's prophecies were fullfilled by 70 ad. They also claim that God revoked his covenet with the Jewish people (the seed of Abraham). Even though God promised that the covenet(I know im spelling that wrong, lol) would be eternal. When looking at scripture however, there are some serious flaws with this line of thinking.

Is this your stance OD? Are you a preterist? Cause if not Im not going to start busting out scripture and wasting all of our time, on somthing you do not believe in.

I don't have a settled eschatological doctrine as my own. My modus operandi is more in tune with the post I made after the preterist one and before this one.

Redeem the time, live a day at a time. Love truly, forgive readily, share easily, work hardly! ...Yikes! On a roll with the -ly words! Just hard I mean!!!

To heck with what happens next, we are in the Eternal Now now, if we just believe.

Hey now, I'm in favor of "work hardly!"....LOL

My two cents?

I believe that we, and every generation to now are and have been in the "end times," what does that mean? simply this. You go about your life, living it the way you choose to do so. Sooner or later, you'll reach the end of it, just like every person ever born so far on this Earth, a few biblical exceptions noted, then you die. That is the moment of "end-time" that every one of us faces.

My Grandparents thought they were living in the "end-times," my Parents thought they were living in the "end-times," many people today think they're living in the "end-times," and the reality is, for all of us, in every generation, time does end. "No man knows the hour." True. Who can say for sure when death may come for him or her? It is idle to speculate on, "Now is the time."

The thing to do,by my reckoning, is to simply live the best life one can, expressed nicely by OD, always holding Jesus Christ up as our example, and role-model, and being ready to meet Him at the hour of His choosing.
