TRISTANROBIN,

Where did Candace Chellew go to bible school? Where did
Candace Chellew get her degrees in the study of Greek and Hebrew? She's a lesbian and runs a pro-gay site. You call that a bible language expert? LOL.

Quoting bible teaching from a reprobate homo site is hardly bible teaching. More of the typical explainging away of the truth by the homo propaganda machine. That entire explanation is bullshit.

Hey JayD, I can't change the way I talk. I know I aint the perfect Christian. Ignore me.

Candace Chellew "received a Master of Theological Studies degree from the Candler School of Theology at Emory University in 2002" and is an assistant pastor at Garden of Grace United Church of Christ in Columbia, SC, according to their website. Not having explored the requirements for the degree, I can't say she's an expert in the study of Greek or Hebrew, but there Greek and Hebrew courses are listed in the college's Spring 2007 course offerings.

I understand she took courses, but she is challenging doctrines held for centuries in the Christian church. In my opinion, any denomination that would ordain a lesbian are heretics. I think I can find millions of Christians to agree with me on that one.

I don't understand why her credentials are being questioned. It's quite clear from her article that she is far more knowledgeable about these languages and translations than most people.

Another VERY good website, written by a Baptist minister - and who has come up with many of the same findings as Ms. Chellew - and is very accessible is http://www.godmademegay.com/Letter.htm

When did God change his mind about homosexuality? God clearly said it was an abomination in Leviticus.

Yes, I make judgements about what is right and wrong. Why? Because I'm a product of western civilization and Judeo-Christian heritage which has advanced through the centuries because we did make judgements about what is right and wrong. Without making judgements about about right and wrong, including many other things, our society would decline into chaos. We make the judgement that killing people is wrong, so we put murderers in jail. Where did we get this belief? Ten Commandments. Trying to make people feel guilty about making judgements is liberal propaganda. As for delicacy, I still don't think it's necessary to go into detail about homosexual acts. If anyone in the thread is really curious about this, and just think homosexuals merely kiss each other, for instance, try a little research on google. But turn off filtering first. I did explain it to my daughter, so I guess I could do it here to, if you really wanted me to. (But I reserve the right to check rules of posting first)

ROFLMAO! When did he "change his mind"?

So I guess Christians are following the same restrictions on eating pork and shell-fish then?
Touching pig-skin is still taboo?
Wearing clothes of two different fabrics and planting crops of two different types in the same field is still a sin?

You ask "when did god change his mind", but the vast majority of the Christian sects CLEARLY ACKNOWLEDGE a belief in God "changing his mind"...

ROFLMAO

are you suggesting that civilizations before Moses didn't have rules/laws/consequences for committing murder?????

I'm a Christian - but I get kinda tired of some Christians who think that laws about killing, thieving, slandering, adultery, etc. etc. began with Moses. I don't know if it comes from a lack of knowledge of history - or simply extreme arrogance. But it's difficult to have a conversation who think that until Moses was given the tables, it was perfectly okay to murder people.

geeeeeesh

I wouldn't have thought so either.

But since you said that all homosexual men do something, I think it's only right that you actually elaborate on your blanket claim.

You're being kinda silly and coy - it's quite obvious that you were talking about anal sex - and now you won't type the words. I guess talking about it without naming it makes it more delicate. Anyway. If I'm wrong about that, please correct me. So, I'll go with that 'act'. All surveys and statistics show that less than 1/2 gay men engage in anal sex...and that almost 1/3 of straight people either have or do engage in anal sex.

To the best of my knowledge, very few lesbians engage in this behavior - so, I can assume from your reasons for disliking gays, that 1/2 of the gay people are okay, 1/3 of the straight people are not okay - and lesbians are the most righteous of all - right?

...not to mention God's statements about when to sell your daughter into slavery and who a woman must marry after the death of her husband ...
