You freak out about it. And it really baffles me. In this country, we legally discriminate against pedophiles, rapists, women, men, the handicapped, etc, etc, etc... Some of it is good. Some of it is bad. Your objection is primarily to the word "discrimination", which quite frankly I don't put any real credence to. In the phrase "unjustified discrimination", it is the word UNJUSTIFIED which is the focal point. "Discrimination" is just a noun that is accurate. Quote:
At other times, you come off as a complete idiot. I HAVE ALWAYS held that some discrimination is entirely justified. My focus is on discussing the JUSTIFICATION of the discrimination involved. But as usual, you react like something I said is a light of revelation because you haven't even bothered to realize what I have ACTUALLY been talking about all along. You do that WAYYYYY too much. Quote:
I have ALWAYS focused on the JUSTIFICATION for the discrimination. Can you name me ANY time where all I did was say that discrimination existed, and just because of its existence it must end??? Never mind. You'll never even make it this far into my post to comprehend what I'm actually saying. | I suspect that black women are asked the same questions. The issue isn't black women, it's the lying. Lying that could leave innocent people at risk, and then telling everyone and then, on top of that, rationalizing it. Rationalizing it by using black women is pretty low. I'm certain the Red Cross asks certain questions of everyone. HIV/AIDS is not the only risk. There are lots of other STD's as well and hepatitis. regards, vharlow SongLyricsDatabase.com! Yes, gays are discriminated against by the American Red Cross. But here's the key: THEY HAVE VERY JUST AND MEDICALLY SOUND REASONS FOR DOING SO. *1% of the American population - gays - has 48% of all the AIDS/HIV cases. *It is proven fact that, as a whole, homosexuals are promiscuous and average MANY sexual partners over their lifetime. Therefore, your chances are contacting AIDS is exponentially higher than other people. *It is medically proven fact that the HIV/AIDS virus can lie undetected for up to 3 years. THIS is the reason gays are discriminated against by the American Red Cross. IT IS FOR PUBLIC HEALTH REASONS, YOU DUMB-ASS. 1% of the American population has 48% of all HIV/AIDS. This is a no-brainer.

A black woman who is actively engaging in sex, with multiple partners, should NOT be allowed to give blood to the American Red Cross. ABSOLUTELY NOT! And the reason is EXACTLY the same reason that SEXUALLY ACTIVE HOMOSEXUALS SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO GIVE BLOOD TO THE AMERICAN RED CROSS. Homosexuals can cry-baby all day long about it being discriminatory. And it is. But it's also smart. It's also for public health reasons.

No, sexually active black people - with multiple partners - should NOT be allowed to give blood to the American Red Cross, for the EXACT SAME REASONS sexually active homosexuals should not be giving blood. It is a public health risk. It is stupid. Are you happy now?

Primarily because you included key words in your statement. "sexually active black people" Why did you do that? And WHY should the same qualifier not be imposed upon gays as well? And just for clarification, by "sexually active" do you mean just having sex, or having sex with more than one partner? The reason "sexually active" was included BY ME is because it's included BY THE AMERICAN RED CROSS. So... you, like Trista, are a liar?
