| Tristan, the point is, you haven't answered the question. You did something ---you lied to the Red Cross and gave blood knowing their rules. Then you compounded that misdeed by saying you did this in a public forum. I don't know if you were confessing, or bragging. It wouldn't matter if you were straight, purple, green, or 12, the point is, are you planning to do this again? If you answer is yes, what are we to think of you? Instead of answering the question, you go into extreme defensive homosexual persecution mode, and waste time and energy avoiding the issue. This mama taught her kids not to lie, and furthermore, if their friends bragged about telling lies to RECOGNIZE that they are lying, and that means they are liars. That also means they will just as easily lie to you. Have you taken enough **** over this one misdeed? Are you going to do this again? That would tell us that you are an activist agitator and that might affect how we respond to any of your other arguments. I'm certain practicing homosexuals have had to face lots of discrimination and unjustly. There's no question about that. I'm sure you don't want pity from me, now do you? But that's really not the issue. regards, vharlow SongLyricsDatabase.com! Looking for those words? Check it out! As scarce as Truth is, the supply has always been in excess of the demand. --J. | Yes, I read it. I didn't know what point it was supposed to make. Sure, I think others matter as much as gay people. I don't know what your point is. | |||||||||||||||||||||

My point was to encourage you to realize first of all that there are hateful things said of any people group and that the negative stuff found Online can always be found in a high proportion to offset the negative with educated statements of equality and acceptance for any group of people. That was my most important point... Why not look for the good things said on the web about gay people? And share those things here. OD | |||||||||||||||||||||||

| vharlow - no. The POINT IS that, in the course of asking a question, you made many snide, snippy, sanctimonious statements which I addressed - at length. You choose to ignore these replies - one can only assume because you felt that my opinions on the statements you made about ME were too unimportant to climb down off your self-appointed seat of superiority to respond. Quite simply, I have no choice but to feel the same way about your comments. Why ever would I allow a condescending person to INTEROGATE me without entering a discussion. You're not my superior. You have no right nor authority to demand any answer from me. Not to mention, if you HAD read my comments about this issue, you would know the answer to your question, so I naturally assume it's facetious. OH - you wrote "It wouldn't matter if you were straight, purple, green, or 12" - of course, that's not true. If I were any of those things, there wouldn't be a problem. | OD - I didn't just 'share' those things. They were written in RESPONSE to others. I'm just here to discuss issues, not share warm fuzzies and hugs. No offense, but I have a spouse, a loving family and good friends for that. Yes - there are many many good people in the world. There is no question. On the particular issue we were discussing, there simply aren't enough of them. If there were, this would no longer BE an issue. | |||||||||||||||||||||

| Guest Posts: n/a | "The CDC reported that homosexuals account for 48 percent of adult AIDS cases, " 48%. And the Gay community represents only 6% of the population. Thats ALOT of gays with AIDS. Are you aware of these reports tristan? Do you denie them? If so why do you feel the red cross would go by them? I dont blame the red cross at all. Its there ass if someone ends up with Aids. And you lying about it, tells alot. | |

| I repeat: the highest rising rate of infections are in African American women. Do you think they should make all black women ineligible for donating? | |||||||||||||||||||||

| And that represents 4% of the gay population. Yes. 4% is a lot...it's certainly a much much higher rate than the straight community. However, it still does not have ANYTHING to do with the 96% - NINETY SIX - that are healthy with clean blood. | |||||||||||||||||||||
