Sorry, but thats just not possible. Someone is lying. If 48% of the people with Aids represents the Gay community, And the total number of gays represents 6% of the population, then the total number of Gay people with Aids is MUCH higher than 4%. Does the CDC have reason to lie about it?

Suppose we have 1000 people with HIV. 500 of which are gay.
And suppose the total gay population is 50,000 people.

Now do the math...

That would mean 50% of the people with HIV are gay.
But only 1% of the gay people have HIV.

THINK, and do the math for yourself.
The problem is that we're talking about two different numbers in the denominator, and you're blindly assuming that the numbers have to be similar because you're fixated on the numerator.

2) Secondly, DO THE MATH.
48% of all HIV victims are gay?
That doesn't mean anything about how many GAYS have HIV.

Do you understand that those are two ENTIRELY DIFFERENT numbers?

We can take the percentage of violent criminals in jail who are black.
Does that mean the majority of blacks are violent criminals?

Or even HIV statistics and blacks. As Tristan pointed out, why not look at black females and HIV.
Does that mean that black females should be banned from donating blood?

Heres the point, alot more gay people have aids (pound for pound) then striaght people. Therefore it is within the right of any blood donation org to refuse to accept blood from those individuals. To lie about your sexual prefrence to donate blood boarders on striaght evil intentions.
