Religion What is your take on religion? Do you base your thoughts in life according to your religion? Do you feel that religion should be kept out of Government and Politics?

Ok, well the first question isnt easy to answer, but I'll give you the easy answer anyway. God is Jesus Christ the begining and end of all things.

I dont see much reason for the next question though. Of course were not driving our cars to heaven. Nor is NY city an expanded empire under the rule of God. There must be some thing about that question that I am missing.

Yup. The original idea in this thread was that we can all get to the city by any means, driving a car, driving on any road, riding a train or a bus, maybe even vr-vrr-vrrooommmm! Riding a Harley!

Analogy, remember?

So I am asking you, are you getting into the kingdom of God by a particular "vehicle"? Describe it to me...

Are you married? If so, I want to tell you how much I admire your wife!

Okay now back to the topic, one of two ways??? Hmmm, what is that all about. Maybe you need to remember this is the "Important Analogy" thread and NOT the end times thread! LOL

Do tell, JayD...tell me the way.

Yes Im married. And you dont know the half of it.
Well, Im either going to die, (from there im not exactly sure how it works, but from what I can tell, we will basical just appear before God for our judgment) or, His promise will come to pass in our life time, and he will come to the clouds, call the dead in him up, then we "which are alive and remain, will be caught up into the clouds to meet our Lord in the air". But I sence your asking me more than that. Are you asking how does one obtain salvation? "Believe in Christ and you will be saved". His words, not mine.

tells JayD.

Now here are my next questions then...

1. So by analogy to stay on topic, are you saying that believing is the same as faith?

2. And are you saying that faith is the vehicle or are you saying Christ is the vehicle?

Before I answer, maybe you could answer something for me.

1 How does one get around the fact that God said you must believe inorder to be saved?

2 (i've been trying to get a answer from you on this several times now) Who is God talking about when he says "and those not found written in the book of life" were "cast into the lake of fire"

JayD, I already did supply a link to answer your question about the lake of fire...you like looking at those scriptures, don't ya? But you have not addressed the ones I raised in the very first post on this DtT between you and me about the word ALL...

Now as to question one...I am so excited to share that with you, and will as soon as you answer my question! It will by whatever means you answer it, be a great launching pad into the topic that is really the heart of the matter. I just know it!

The ends justify the means. What if somebody is kind and virtuous al their life but is an Atheist, or a Hindu, or *gasp!* a Pagan? Are you to say that even though they made a positive impact on the world, they don't deserve to got o heaven? Please explain this, because it doesn't really seem to be a compassionate act from a loving god.

Here is what I am assured of...
faith is a gift. Would you JayD, agree with that?

If faith is not a gift, then by contrast, we as humans acquire it some other waythat by it being given to us, yes?
