Jaxian, you wrote my heart there. And yet there have been times, I have not even written my heart for how I let the atmosphere of discord speak too loudly to me.

Just like yesterday, I finally saw a number of issues brought forth and realized a paradigm shift in my worldview again. This time in the matter of the pro-choice/pro-life debate.

And it is a strange thing to call it pro-life when it ought to perhaps be more rightly labelled pro-birth. Most that claim to be pro-life are not advocating legislation to advance the lives of women who have crisis pregnancies through funding and programs.
Nor are most pro-life folk for the lives of Iraqi's or for that matter our soldiers, and again too, certain criminals.

And once someone "picks" which lives are valuable are they not too, pro-CHOICE? Cos doesn't choice mean "to pick"?

I think it's fair to say that we ought to deal FIRST with the 99+% of all abortions that are NOTHING MORE than post-conception Birth Control.

On the other hand, let the murderous hypocrisy of he Pro-Abortion Butchers continue.

And by the way, I don't recall giving any of the moderators permission to change my avatar.

OD, that was very well thought out and very well stated. I agree that the term pro-birth is probably the most appropriate.

Now, I have to disagree on the Pro-choice argument you offer. I thing that the correct term would be pro-MYchoice, since they want to get to choose who lives and who does not.

I think that it is more important to deal with the needs of those who ARE born rather than those who may potentially BE born.

You don't agree?

Probably because your avatar was offensive and unpleasant to see 150 times a day.

And they did choose one of you that was - well - appropriate, you must admit.

Its sad that these people will be ridiculed for there faith by the likes of you people. Especialy with the very high % of you who constantly cry about being treaded equal. I had no real doubts that you would want to send kids there.
You claim to "judge from everyone's reaction", but you fail to recognize the REASON people are having that reaction.

The issue at hand is how religion flies in the face of reality, denying the facts of science and clinging to disproven beliefs.
Carbon Dating disproves the premise that this "singer" puts forth, but these guys cling to a belief that has been disproven.

Can you imagine if you had been born centuries in the past? You would be clinging to the theory that the sun revolved around the earth and calling it the "end times" because people were proving it wrong.

And on another level, GROW the hell UP.
There is a difference between being "ridiculed" and governmental discrimination.
I may be "ridiculing" you, but I in NO WAY would ever feel that you should be discriminated against.
But you think the fact that you are ridiculed somehow lessens our claims to equality???
