It's called Netiquette, it's ok most AOLer's don't know about these unwritten rules.


Certain rules of unspoken etiquette are recommended to be followed when using Internet forums. They include:

• Before creating a new topic thread, one is advised to search to see if a similar topic already exists.
• Contributors should follow standard grammar and spelling rules and avoid slang. Leetspeak is sometimes accepted.
• If the forum is categorized, one should strive to post in the correct section.
• When making a technical inquiry, one should include as much technical information as possible, especially in the subject line.
• Contributors are asked to stay on-topic.
• Contributors should avoid double posting and Crossposting.
• To avoid appearing self-absorbed, one should respond to topics started by others more often than starting topics of one's own.
• Contributors should avoid the use of all CAPITAL LETTERS in posts. All CAPS is considered "shouting" and causes readability issues.
• One is advised not to resurrect a very old topic if nothing significant will be added. This practice is known as revival or Necroing.
• One should try to refrain from lashing back at a poorly behaving member or participating in a flame war; instead, notify the messageboard's staff of the event.
• When quoting a previous post, one should only include the relevant portion of that post. Contributors are requested to keep in mind that their audience can likely still see the message they are quoting on the same screen and can read it again if need be.
• Signatures on forums should generally have a maximum height of 100 pixels, as to not cause clutter.

The only rights or privileges you have here are those that the Staff grants you. So as for you "not letting us win" You really can't beat us here. We own the site. We serve our community, the vast majority of whom seem to like it here just fine. If you don't then leave. No one forces you to be here. You can go back to Yahoo and join the others who post using various forms of my name, and posting what they think is my personal info all over the place. The Yahoo! forums are the sort of anarchic bastion of retardation that was designed for morons such as yourself.

What we will not tolerate is you making this community a less enjoyable experience for our users. We will not tolerate your continued harrasment, annoyance and accusations of fascism. If you can behave like a mature grown adult, you are welcome to stay. But if you really dislike it here so much, I encourage you to leave before you force me to bounce your ass out of here permanently.

Kind of like I did with Communism, I didn't fully understand it when I was using it. Now I'm reading up on it and beginning to understand it more.

Typing in all caps. Usually when you type in caps, people usually think you are yelling, which is very rude. Proper color? I doubt color has anyhthing to do with anything.

As a 6 year veteran of a marching band, I would have to say not a thing. My fondest memories from school center primarily around band.

My favorite part of school was at the end of the school day when my boyfriend/ first love walked me all the way home to my house. From the high school that was a 22 block walk. And then he stayed a couple hours and then he had to walk all the way to his, which was even further away from the high school than I lived, and that in the opposite direction!

All I really needed to learn, I am quite sure I learned on those days when he walked me home.
