eh I would have to disagree with that notion...Why do the unemployment and mortgage rates rise when politicians propose new taxes or increase taxes especially on small business owners??

But I wouldn't think this applies to small business owners.

As a small business owner I think three things would make them thrive:

1) Health care provided for everyone (all my employees are taken care of)

2) Security in retirement (again supports the security and stability of my employees)

3) Not letting large corporations leave the country for tax loop holes and cheap labor


This country wouldn't even have to raise taxes that much to accomplish it. Lower military spending, divert to the above mentioned programs, raise taxes on luxury items (gasoline, cigarettes, marijuana).

Bam, solid as a rock baby.

If a tax was imposed on small businesses where in return every employee is covered for healthcare, or offered a discount for healthcare, that would sound good to me. You do have your point that if our tax money was used for those purposes, it would be beneficial to everyone and the economy. But we all know that the government has a tough time spending their money on good things which in return could result in the negative effects on our economy...So that does make sense too.

Change the government I say.
And it shouldn't just be small businesses taking the load, it should be every citizen regardless.

I'm gonna try and get a good logo made up for next month with lady justice..just haven't found any good ones that works with the site..

I think tadpole suggested lady justice sometime ago..definitely a perfect choice for the site!
