Oh, absolutely, if you are only getting tested once a year, then yes, I agree that you might be spreading them. you should at the very least twice per year; this is what is advocated by HIV Alliance Inc. among other groups. However, with a promiscuous lifestyle, more often than that would be better. this is what we need to be teaching in schools to prevent the spread of vd.

Then shouldn't everyone, just to be on the safe side, be tested 'more often than that'?

After all, unless someone is with their partner 24/7, there is no way to Know what they have been up to.
