My wife works for a car dealership and I used to transport their cars. I'm also a serious do-it-yourselfer....I can talk Hondas all day.

Well since they put a new starter in my van, the van that defies automotive life at all, then I say Yes!!!

Get all the automotive "cliff notes" possible...and we might set a Guiness Book of Records! My van, first off it is 12 years old, second off, I am the sole driver of it!!! If it can keep running, it will put the Energizer Bunny to shame!!!

My Mom's 93 Accord had 204K on it. Runs like new. And her 1987 Camry ran 250K before I put it out to pasture.

I think I should explain the context of my vote. I voted for "all types of topics" with the intention of bringing in topics other than politics that are not frivolous. That is, you can't 'debate' something such as 'what is the best car' or 'what is the best football team'. Of course you could, but the point is that it would be completely frivolous. I agree that DtT should maybe lose 'politics' as its central theme, but I don't think we should instead attract frivolous discussion. I think topics such as "lifestyle", "automotive", and (especially) "entertainment", etc. should all be contained in "Off Topic".

Thank you for your thoughts! That is a very strong point!!

So I would assume it might be best to shrink the political issues section, while expanding to other topics that are more debatable and less on the side of politics (philosophy, history, darwinism, and so on..?)
